And this is just a suggestion, but before you assume someone else's gender, you might want to ask them about it first.

Oh I'm not upset. It just amuses me all the time when people get my gender wrong. I've been on these boards a long time and there's always a bunch of newbies who crops up that still presume I'm a guy, perhaps because of how unconventional I am. This stems from hearing guy complaints about girly women who mock their interests. I mean really, how can these girls function in a relationship if they always pick on superficial gripes like "God, I hate football." which I love to watch myself because of those nice, tight uniforms. But I digress. I'd still hate Valentine's Day even in a relationship. I hate when romance has to be forced. Gift giving and affection should be a spontaneous year round thing.

I'm not the most romantic type..usually I just play the "game" for "fun" but if I eventually find the right one(for me), the one I've been hoping to run across...:heart: I may take romance a little more seriously.

Sure, I enjoy taking her out to dinner and buying her things and spending time with her... but is a specific, designated day for all this really necessary? Anyway, she'll be expecting something and I wish I could be expecting nothing, but that won't be the case.

As for myself after taking my fiance to dinner for many year we now opt to stay in and i cook for her (In the UK pretty much all restaurants have a set 'valentines menu' that consists of aload of crap that my fiance wont eat as she's pretty fussy) not to mention we have 2 small children, getting asitter we trust on valentines day can be somewhat tricky.

As for a gift, i'm not sure, but i'm taking her to see a show soon as part of her gift at our local theatre.

At the moment, No...but this friday I have a date(second actualy) .., So who knows

As for V-Day I just don't get it. If you're truely a romantic then you don't have to wait for that one day each year to show it.
