Hello.

I don't think the mass audience wants a Superman movie too close to the comic books. I think they want something like Superman Returns but with more action and less children.

I also think they want Richard out of the picture, and maybe a bit more acting from Routh.

What do you think?

I never understood why so many bash the idea.

1. It's sci-fi, otherworldly/alien. Fine by me. Kryptonians had a highly-advanced alien civilization. It stands to reason their culture would be drastically different from our own.

2. It has almost zero effect on the overall story anyway. What's the big deal.

either way works... but personally, for me, i like the birthing matrix idea. I grew up with it, and thats the way I see Kryptonians: otherworldly, extremely highly advanced, no need for physical intimacy or social activity... a cold race. a dying race.
