This seems stupid on both parties. I have no idea why Stuart would be that late for a seemingly important meet-up, and at the same time it's weird the studio has these no-name replacements in hand just in case an actor messes up. Was it really worth all that trouble over 6 measly hours?

I completely agree
a couple minutes, as long as they apologize
but 6 damn hours.
you can watch 2 of the LOTR films in that time (thats how I measure time)

Obviously, in general showing 6 hours late to a job is stupid. But this is Hollywood, who tend to coddle the talent, even someone who is only at Townshend's popularity level. Its only lately now that every young actor/actress pulls a Lohan that we are seeing the shift IMO.

Plus I am still not convinced of the rumor yet. It sounds kinda fake. Possible, but I have doubts

I wouldn't be surprised, given Stuart Townsend's reputation for being "difficult to work with" (Hollywood for "bit of a dick") and sometimes needing to be replaced on movies.
