I have lost faith in humanity. First Twilight and now this? I hope a super advanced alien race puts us out of our misery.

So...when the news media talks about over reacting comic book fanboys....they show your picture?

In all fairness, Smallville isn't just a bad Superman show, it's a bad show overall.

As soon as I read your post, I was tweeted that Best Buy have completely sold out of Smallville Season 8 across America.

More details next week, but it looks like Smallville Season 8 is now the best selling TV on DVD release of the year.

Geez...do people get how lawsuits work?
WB isnt going to say anything positive about a Superman movie in anyway until this thing is settled. They are going to keep saying the same things "we have no plans", "Supermans a tough one", blah, blah, blah....even if it is otherwise.

Obviously no one does know how they work. Wb's best strategy if they want to settle right now is to make the franchise seem worthless in order to get a settlement then say they are developing a movie which is going to make millions. They could have a few scripts unofficially completed and off the books and when a settlement happens go full steam ahead (best case scenario). Worst case they know they're doing a reboot and they have a plot. I just find it hard to believe that they hired 3 comic book writers all of whom have written, in the process of, or pitched an origin story at some point in there careers and not one has touhed the superman property.

I don't care if he likes or dislikes the show...but that statement is the kind of fanboy over reaction that people like to play up to make all of us fans look looney.

totally solidsnake we fans dont really know how wb is handling the legal stuff. Now it would be great if they have things being lined up so if/when the legal stuff is cleared they can get right on board with it. Plus yea i agree with all 3 of those guys now working on dc projects for wb it would be silly to not at least give them all or one or two of them a chance to do a basic treatment which could be used as guideline for who ever ends up being the final script writer.

I was joking. Jesus, learn to take a joke. :whatever:

So a great show like Boston Legal only lasted a few seasons but Smallville keeps going? But...

Say what you like, continue to bash all you want, the show's obviously doing something right to last 9 years, and probably many more to come via Season 10 and spin-offs. It's the success story of the season, and has proven series can do well on Fridays.

And the fact is Smallville is doing the DC Universe better than any of the movies, and even the comics. You're simply jealous, and don't realise it.

By the way, Absolute Justice is introducing a completely new Blur costume that's red and blue. I think this change will be popular and is an idea for the new movie.

TF: Revenge of the Fallen was one of the most successful movies ever. It must mean it was a good film. Right? :whatever:

Where did you hear that?

Maybe it's the costume from the New Krypton comic. Not really using the classic Supes costume, I heard anyway.

I understand and take jokes just fine. I was commenting on your overexagerated response that is a rude snipe at people who have a different opinion than yours.

Maybe if you had used a smilie. No wait, I got a "troll" label for doing that while posting an obvious joke.

Actually...you got a "TROLL" label for being a troll.

Is it a success story though, the bottom line is that the ratings have dropped. Second, although I don't really care to bash smallville cause I watch it, is the statement of it doing justice better then the comics and the movies really true, thats your opinion if anything else. Especially when the comics are doing good things in regards to the DC Universe such as blackest night.

At least after that you asked for a stop to the name-calling.

It's not name calling, like a poster does to someone when he is mad.....it is a concensus of the mods that you are a troll. That is why you are on the WATCH LIST.

You have a List?! Geez Lee, you are sounding more and more like Norman Osbourne! :argh:

You have a List?! Geez Lee, you are sounding more and more like Norman Osbourne! :argh:

I don't have a list.....the mods as a whole have a list. Read the FAQ -

Heightened Attention for Problem Users
In addition to the use of infractions and probations, users who are habitually in receipt of staff attention will find themselves placed on one of the two lists covered below. The Watchlist is comprised of users that, through their actions, have been deemed problematic by the staff. Watchlist inhabitants who remain disruptive (measured by continuing to amass infractions) will be cited with two lengthy probations, one and two months, respectively, as their aberrant behavior continues. Upon receipt of the two month probation, the user will be placed on The Phantom Zone. The Phantom Zone is the final degree of latitude that problem users will be granted prior to being permanently banned. Users will be notified by a staff member of their placement on this list. The commission of a probation-worthy offense by a user on The Phantom Zone will result in a ban. Alternatively, the receipt of three total infractions for flaming and/or trolling within a three month period while in The Phantom Zone will also result in a ban. Six months without instance (or 'good behavior') will result in a user being removed from The Phantom Zone and placed back on the Watchlist. Once moved back to the Watchlist, being cited for another probation-worthy offense will result in the user being placed back in The Phantom Zone. The standing period of removal for second stints in The Phantom Zone is one year. If a user is moved to The Phantom Zone for a third time, there will be no removal.

The above are guidlines. If somone on the lists does something particualrily outrageous it can go immediately to banning.

There is indeed a list, and I've read it. Jane Fonda, Daniel Schorr, Jack Anderson. Hey...that was Richard Nixon's enemies list! C. Lee just crossed out Nixon's name and put his instead.

But Lee what if a mod just has it out for you? I'm just being real, it seems like this one mod just has a hard on for me and I don't know what I've done. Check my membership. Every infraction I've ever received was from her and it wasn't that serious. I mean, before a person is placed on this list, can't we have our day in court?

A mod can't just arbitrarily put someone on the list. If they feel that someone deserves to be on it...they tell the rest of us, and we then check out his history and decide if they deserve to be on it or not.
