Superman Returns We don't like how this movie is looking (merged)

Hahaha...I shall win against those who are against me.:D

Puh-lease Visionary. If Jack Bauer were against you for a season of 24, they'd have to rename the show 0:00.05 ;) :p

The new Ghost Rider Trailer looks amazing. Its incredibly sharp, crisp, clear and colorful and has a sheen and polish to it that I wish Superman Returns had. Thats the look I would like to see in a Superman film, with a complete devotion to the look of Superman from the comic books. Routh looks more and more like college kid flying around in long johns.

....... What? Are you kidding? The Ghost Rider trailer looks like stomped turtle ass!!! That movie is going to be HORRIBLE! However you are right about Routh looking kinda like a skinny weiner in some of the scenes for sure....however there are quite a few scenes where he oozes cool! It's all in the way the Director films him IMO.

I still think it would have been cool to have the same design for the Superman suit, but with some added muscles underneath....not like he's a steroid freak, but come on...make him look like he can take care of business ya know?

As Reeve was looked on in the 70's by the Generation that grew up with George Reeves as their Superman. I remember my uncles and older cousins referring to Superman as a "Disco *****e", "Fairy boy", and "John Travolta" and not looking like the "real" Superman.

as far as Ghost Rider goes, I hope its cool, but i got some serious reservations... Cage is comic book movie poison and was SERIOUSLY miscast as Johnny Blaze.

Looks like it could be cool, but man is that movie going to have a lot of cg. Shows how much i know about comics. I have not a clue about ghost rider until i just looked at that website

Has anyone else noticed that when a bullet hits a hard surface it ricochettes, unlike the bullet that hits Superman's eye, which just falls to the floor

yup...it's been discussed before.

there are theories that range from the differences of space between the guns and Superman, Superman's eyeball giving leeway, the bullets being different density, and even different the bullets from a handgun traveling at different speeds as the bullets from the gattling gun (makes sense to me)...

...but why bother with the technicalities? we're watching a movie about an alien who looks exactly like us that can fly, shoot heat out of his eyes, and can lift a car as easily as we can lift a printer, hehe.

Here's the source of my bad feelings about this movie.

Have they wrote some movies you didn't like? What movies were they?

Yep. Michael Doughtery (who is on the left if you can't read the chair or remeber them ;) is 31 & Dan Harris is same age as Routh: 26. Or at least he's 27 now, since I don't remeber his birthday. But I know his birth year is 1979 like Routh. :)

HAHAHAHA!!! I don't know why this made me laugh like crazy! :D

And yeah....both of these nimrods look like they have a severe case of 'teh g@y'

I don't prefer 'teh gay' lifestyle, but movie writing has absolutely jack **** to do with sexuaul orientation.

I swear, some people.

So, uh, are we not allowed to post negative comments in other threads?

I don't have a problem with negative comments. And i'm pretty sure any adult poster can handle it as well. Just ignore the thread title.

they are in good company considering that some of the most prestigious american writers have been gay

Being gay and writing or directing have absolutely NO CORRELATION. I can't believe I'm actually having to explain this. But on the other hand, I believe people have also become way too touchy about the 'gay jokes' etc. If they are comfortble being gay, and being potrayed in a multitude of media, then making jokes really shouldn't be much of a problem. One of my buddies is gay, and the rest of us will give him innocent ribbings every know and then...and he doesn't mind. It's actually more prejedice to draw a line in the sand, and say you can't joke about it at all. Like "Brokeback" jokes on this site for example...

i'm still not too sure about this movie, X3 had a kickazz trailer and the movie itself was so enjoyable to watch, but the story.... urk.

After this guy called SR the year's biggest dissapointed film. The guy has changed his mind....

New Superman Returns Trailer

Finally! After a few decent, yet underwhelming trailers for Superman Returns popped up online, I was convinced this film would be the most disappointing in years. All the talk. All the hype. And, based on what I was seeing, pic would turn out to be nothing more than another great Kevin Spacey performance, at best.

So, I wake up this morning to catch a low-quality, online version of the new Superman trailer that's playing before X-Men: The Last Stand. This sucker was leaked and, let me tell you, this is the trailer we've all been waiting for. Look, there's no doubt Spacey will make this movie. With that in mind, the new trailer is geared more towards him and the destruction put forth by his character, Lex Luthor. It's dark. It's intense. It's convinced me that, perhaps, this film won't let us down after all.

I keep saying it. Kevin Spacey WILL MAKE SR a good movie. He will be the one of the reasons, if not, the biggest reason this movie will be good.

wait an see of course, but yes, k-pax will be great as usual.
