Westchester RPG: Season One "First Class" OOC

15/16 is a good age to start from imo. I'm not saying go any older.

yeah I wouldnt make him any older than that.

Roster Updates:
  • Matt Murdock added as Wade Wilson.
  • Front page of IC thread updated.

Do we have enough to post in the IC now?

Not that I can post in the IC right now, just asking.

Wow, this thread's moved up quite a bit since yesterday. Is posting in the IC thread allowed yet?

I think we need to get a Profesor Xavier on board, but after that I see us up and running in a day or so. Give it just a little more time to build up and then I along with the other GM's will make an anouncment as to what direction we want things to move in.

Westchester RPG Character Application

Screenname: Sieben

Character You Would Like To Play: Hellion / Julian Keller

Powers: Telekinetic : Can create Telekinetic blasts and forcefields. Can fly at sub-sonic speeds, and can levitate and manipulate objects from afar. However, whilst able to lift large, heavy objects, Julian finds it extremely difficult to focus his power acutely. Making manipulating tiny objects such as tacks very difficult.

Basic Origin of the Character:
Born to parents who managed to work their way out of poverty to become billionaires, Julian was sent to the Xavier Institute in hopes that he would learn to use his powers with some discretion. He is cocky and arrogant, but displays vital leadership skills. Also, he is extremely loyal to his friends, despite his outward demeanour.

Three Reasons Why You Have Chosen That Character:
1. He is a character different to the usual gaggle of x-men
2. Hellion has the capacity for potential evil, as well as heroism which opens the character to interesting stories and situations.
3. He is a character not too steeped in tradition or history, thus allowing creative muscles to be flexed more freely.

What Do You Plan On Doing With This Character As A Person: Julian is not a follower. He won't accept orders and fall in line unless it suits him. He is abrasive and arrogant and unafraid to butt heads with others... hopefully a character who stands against the 'status quo'. Julian is there because his parents put him there, not because he chose to and hopefully i can reflect all this by portraying a character that will add dimension and difference to the band of students.

Two Complete Sentences In Proper English Explaining What You Can Bring To This RPG (As A Player): *Le Sigh* The usual. I can bring experience and enthusiasm to the game. Hopefully, I can also add even more depth and variety to the cast, and make this RPG really stand out

What Fonts Do You Plan To Use For Your Character’s Speech? (Makes the roster look better): Hellion - Verdana, Red.

Please Provide A Small Sample Post In The Format You Wish To Portray Your Character In:

"Did it hurt?"

"Excuse me?"

"I was just wondering if it hurt.. you know... when you fell from heaven?"

"I'm not following..."

"Well, I'm assuming you must have fallen from heaven, because I know I'm staring at the body of an angel!"

"That. Was lame."

Julian sighed as the girl laughed at him and disappeared into the throng of people on the dance floor. At only 16, he had a lot of work to do on his style with women. His other abilities however, were much more progressed...

Julian moved to the bar and leaned back against it. The music was terrible, some sort of Euro-Techno stuff that hurt his head. But the women and the beer were worth it... and it was one of the few places where his fake ID worked and where he hadn't already picked a fight. Eyeing an unwatched bottle of beer, he placed his hand up on the bar and focused, his eyes glowing green as he did so. The bottle inched towards him... but for every millimetre it moved, it began to shake more and more violently. Six inches from it's original place, the bottle exploded, spraying glass and foamy liquid everywhere. Two burly men spun around in shock and glared up at the bottle, before spying the young mutant.

"Hey! Look at his eyes! He's one o' those muties!"

"Hey mutie... you just spilled my beer! Don't no-one spill my beer and get away with it! especially one o' you freaks..."

The two men lurched forward, the first throwing a huge hay maker towards Julians head. His hands came up quickly and the blow crashed into the hazy green barrier of the telekinetic shield he threw up. With a half smile, the young mutant surged his hands forward and blasted both men from their feet with consecutive energy blasts. As they landed he spun on his heel, looking for the nearest exit. As he ran, he noticed the girl he'd just tried his luck with. Flashing her his best grin, he blew her a quick kiss. "Gotta run baby! Call me!" he shouted, before making his hasty exit.

Do You Know How To Post Pictures On The Hype?:

I say aproved, as long as you show him coming into his powers and not that everything is already there.

That's the plan... though his powers have manifested, I wanted to show his struggle in coming to control and maintain them.

I would say have the powers begining to emerge, learning what he can do and what he can't do. Don't just throw all of the powers at him at once and expect him to deal with them, instead lets them come to the surface and gradualy build up to his full potential, then let him struggle with the power.

You da boss-man :yay:

If that's how the cookie crumbles then so be it.

I was wondering if anyone objected to using a teacher, Dr. Nathan Essex, as an NPC it could be the X-men's real first villian and shake the school to it's core. I think it could have some definate potential, once some students start to mysteriously dissapear.

Sounds like a brilliant idea to me - somewhat reminiscent of Professor Quirrell in Harry Potter.

Yeah, but without the turban and the face in the back of the head please.

thats a kickass idea byrd. I'd be up for that.

Me too. I'd like everyone to know that I've fully mapped out Deadpool's origins. It'll involve a school-sponsored trip / expedition to Egypt

Sounds great, Byrd.

Would the class be going with him, Murdock? Because you know you need ice cones in Egypt.
