    Happy Valentine's Day, Guest!

What are the worst comic book movies of all time?

Howdy, Guardian7. :)

I remember Wonder Woman with Cathy Lee Crosby. Ricardo "Khan Mr. Rourke" Montalban was in that one. I think it was supposed to be the Wonder Woman TV series pilot. But it failed.

Cheers.

True... But the pilot was movie length. It was bad...

...ugh...

Still X3 was horrible... I almost walked out of the theater....

Catwoman
Batman 1989
Batman Returns
Batman and Robin
Steel
Wolverine Origins
The Amazing Spider-Man 2
Ghost Rider 1 and 2
Elektra
Green Lantern

Ghost Rider 1&2
Batman & Robin
Thor
Superman Returns
Spider-Man 3
X-Men 3
Punisher
Catwoman
Origins
Batman Forever
Green Lantern

Those are the ones I'm remembering right now. Might edit later.

For me, Batman & Robin is THE defining worst CBM of all time...

Green Lantern and XMO: Wolverine are textbook examples of terrible, irredeemable failures.
I haven't seen Ang Lee's Hulk in a while but I remember hating it when I watched it a few years ago.
Also, I actually got some bizarre enjoyment with B&R. It's a horrific movie but I actually found myself being entertained in certain parts believe it or not.

Hello, Flint Marko. :)

The first time I saw Ang Lee's Hulk I got bored and didn't like it. Second time I ignored the boring parts and liked it very much. third time, I thought it was just a strange but not very god mix of great bits and many boring useless ones. I am probably wrong but it feels like a director-vs-producers battle.

I agree with you on Batman & Robin. The Alfred scenes with Bruce are quite good. At this point it's like one of those movies that are so bad they're mysteriously enjoyable.

Cheers.

Agreed Zada, I think it falls into "so bad it's good" category.
As for the Hulk I'm gonna have to revisit that one soon, I saw it on blu-ray for five bucks at hastings so that'll probably be my next movie night.

Hi there again, Flint Marko. :)

It's almost 20 years from Batman & Robin, we can't hate it forever. :funny:

Yes, revisiting Hulk sounds a good idea. I still remember the fight in the desert. I was genuinely thinking, "oh come on, why can't those puny humans leave Hulk alone?" and feeling for him. When they shot at him over the bridge and he had this sad face in pain... :(

I also remember how free he felt when he was jumping mountains. His hair flowing, his face in peace, his eyes closing halfway. I guess I really connected with him in those scenes.

Seeya.

People writing down stuff like IM3, TDKR, Thor 2, Amazing Spiderman etc cant be serious. Those movies may not be great but they are competently made and very technically sound with good individual performances. When there's real horrible stuff like Steel,Catwoman and Jonah Hex out there, i just cant process how you can lump any of these movies with those pieces of ****e

I agree. I really hate both IM3 and TDK but its because I found them very disappointing compared o their peers and how they treated their respective characters. They are , for me more the worst of the best than the most horrible movies ever made.

Anyone listing the likes of Spider-Man 3, anything from the TDK or Iron Man trilogies, X-Men 3, Thor or Ang Lee's Hulk, I'm sorry I try to respect all opinions no matter how insane they may be, but to say they are among the worst CBMs ever is just the height of stupidity.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance

Superman IV: The Quest for Peace

Hi there, The Joker. :)

I agree with you on some of them (Ang Lee's Hulk, X-Men 3, TDK, Iron Man), but I disagree on some others (Spider-man 3, Iron Man sequels). Does that make me half-stupid in your eyes? :(

Cheers.

Hello, Nemeres. :)

Aw, I knew cookie monster could settle this. Because, how about if someone else thought that labelling some opinions as stupid is wrong?

Thanks.

Steel
Catwoman
Batman Forever
Batman & Robin
The Phantom
Ghost Rider 1&2
300: Rise of an Empire
Spider-Man 3
X-Men: The Last Stand
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Blade Trinity
Hellboy 2
Howard the Duck
Captain America (1990)
Fantastic Four
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer
Tranktastic Four (just a prediction)

Sesame Street, perfect for you :cwink:

No I think your opinion on that is half stupid. Smart people can have stupid opinions. People are entitled to them. You see them all the time;

I class anyone's opinion of ranking the aforementioned movies as among the worst CBMs in that same stupid opinion category.

Catwoman, Batman and Robin, X-Men: Wolverine Origins, Green Lantern, Superman IV are probably the worst of the worst.

I think that's the general consensus.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Elektra
Catwoman
Ghost Rider 2
Superman IV
Supergirl
Batman & Robin

THE WORST.

The Amazing Spider-Man
The Amazing Spider-Man 2
Jonah Hex
Green Lantern
Batman and Robin
Wolverine Origins
Superman IV
Blade Trinity

Agreed.

Steel
Batman & Robin
Elektra
Superman IV
Howard the Duck
Green Lantern
Catwoman
Jonah Hex

Those are the only utterly terribly ones. There's plenty of poor ones like Spider-Man 3, Thor 2, Iron Man 3 and Wolverine Origins but they're certainly not the worst

Oh yeah, I forgot about Jonah Hex. That thing was awful. You could tell John Malkovich KNEW he was in a turd of a movie. That might be the most phoned-in performance I've ever seen in ANY film.

Part of me really, really, really wants to say TASM2.

And I may.
