The Dark Knight What are your biggest Dark Knight Fears?

You spoke to Nolan?

I just hate when write **** like this.

Dude, chill.

I think that's his fear for the movie that he wrote there.

Yeah Sorry I didn' read the title.

My fear would be if Dent is left out again.

Every movie has bad things, but overall, BB was great movie.

I just hate fans for talking some s*** like "Tumbler was more like tank, than real batmobile".

They just can't understand that Tumbler looked perfect for action sequences and it is very effecting batmobile.

Only because it has very unusual look of batmobile, fans start hating it.
Thats a little un fair to just say people didn't like it because it wasn't what they were use to.

I personally hated the Tumbler cause I thought it was one of the ugliest things I had ever seen.

Yep, but we don't know what we can expect from TDK.

I'd prefer to see Joker winning in his 1st fight with Batman.

Yes, Batman is trained, but he knows when he wins and when his looses the fight. Every ninja fears the death, but not so crazy guy like Joker.

After acids, he lost his fear of anything. That is why he also doesn't know the end of fight.

You can almost kill him, but still, he will be alive and going to continue the fight until he wins.
Im ok with Joker winning the first fight if he uses weapons but in hand to hand he better not win

I liked the Tumbler because it took on animalistic qualities just like Wayne did for Batman.

Sure, because of his unpredictability, I can see The Joker landing in a couple of cheap, lucky shots but other than that, Bats would own him in a fight.
I can see Joker winning the first few fights just like Scarecrow won the first.
I am pretty excited to see how Nolan communicates Jokers fighting style on film.

But the Tumbler was the ugliest car I have ever seen

As long as Joker does not beat Batman in hand to hand I have no problem, but if Joker beats Batman in hand to hand with out using a weapons or trick of some sort then it will just be stupid.

I really want to see the Joker look like the Joker. Also, I wouldn't mind it if Bale toned down his act a little bit more. His Batman was great, but I want him to calm it down a bit, channel more of the Loeb/BTAS Batman. Less talking and more presence.

Function before Beauty!
I thought it was nice enough looking for the Batmobiles first incarnation.
Besides Batman isnt cool because he has a great sense of style (leave that for the Joker) he is cool because he can kick azz, and that tumbler can kick some azz.

My biggest fear is that the film will be so awesome that people around the world will explode from an overload of awesomeness.

You have the greatest qoute ever

My biggest fear about The Dark Knight is that it will not film in Chicago or it will not be filming in Chicago at a time that I will be able to go.

I wasn't talking about you, my friend. I also thought Tumbler was really awesome batmobile. It was unusual and very EFFECTIVE in action scenes.

Agreed

ComingSoon.net sat in on an edit bay session with director Chris Nolan for The Prestige (lots more on that next week!) and the helmer talked a bit about both his blockbuster hit Batman Begins and its upcoming sequel, The Dark Knight.

Nolan said he was very surprised by Batman Begins' success, "for the simple reason that I felt we had really poured our hearts out in making a good film and that on our own terms we had succeeded. I never really expected to satisfy critics and Batman fans and regular audiences equally. I mean I thought maybe we'd get two points on the drawing board if you like, but the fact that all three seemed to respond well, that was a big surprise to me. I mean it felt like you were going to lose one aspect or someone… I think we were very fortunate in that regard, it's very gratifying."

Talking about the follow-up, in which Heath Ledger will play The Joker opposite Christian Bale, he mentioned that they're changing things up. "I think what people responded to well about 'Batman Begins' is how different it was from their expectations so I think we would be foolish to not recognize that and to [try to replicate that now predictable blueprint]. I think we'll be doing something very different for the sequel. I certainly wouldn't have any interest in trying to repeat experience or the formula we've made, because particularly being the origin story, it's a very unique thing, a very singular experience. My interest would sort of be to move on from that and to do something quite different."

That scares me! What is he talking about??? Change the formula???
Is he gonna take out the serious element for campy??

Campy for TDK? No I don't think so. I think TDK will be better then BB since Begins was an Batman origin so TDK will focus on more Bruce as Batman or more on Bruce as well and making mistakes but learning the mistakes along the way that he will become "The Dark Knight"

Personally, not only do I not like Pretty-Boy Ledger playing The Joker, because he looks too young--and would make a better Robin or Nightwing. But, I don't like the idea of THE JOKER in the sequel, period. One reason is, The Joker is too ubiquitous as Lex Luther is in Superman's methos (in various mediums) it's a 'been there, done that' kind of thing.

I also hate the idea of Two-Face (rumored) to be in the film, none of these characters can fight Batman. And after the blurry, choppy and lack lusting fight scenes in BB, I was hoping for a physical challenge that would bring about the greatest fighter in comics within in The Dark Knight.

I was hoping for both KILLER CROC (disturbed and animalistic), whom would surely bring out every ounce of fighting technique--that Batman has learned to take him down. And MR. FREEZE, who's not only highly intelligent, but can also give Batman a go with the physical fights, among other things. Both characters also call for a lot of detective work into their backgrounds.

This is what I wanted to see in THE DARK KNIGHT. I just hope most people don't feel the same way, or we could have another Superman Returns on our hands. Lex Luthor being the main villain, was just one of the things that put a nail in the heart of that film.

What's wrong with Harvey Dent?
Nothing, damn good character, but I personally think it's the wrong movie for The Joker and Two-Face. (read why on page 8)

Well Dent won't be Two-Face in the TDK so Joker will have his screentime like Ra's in BB.

but how is it wrong for The Joker to be in TDK? Don't say it's been done.

If it's just Dent, then that's fine, (edit) I just meant Two-Face not Dent. Oh, as for The Joker, yes, it's been done to death--like Lex Luthor. Cartoons, comic books, video games, on film, novels, etc. As I explained on page 8.

LOL, I would imagine there are cooler villains than the Mad Hatter. ;)
