Transformers What did you hate about this movie?

sorry I dont sit on a Discussion Board all day and have 8,000 post. If your going to discuss something atleast be rational, you guys expect everything to be like the comics, t.v shows, etc..... Its never going to be exactly like the things of old so stop complaining and enjoy the movie for what it was.

the movie was good, but it doesn't mean it didn't have major flaws, both as far as the canon is concerned (which fanboys will moan about), and stucturally (which anybody who has ever watched a movie, will realize that there is something not quite right about the flick).

I mean a movie that doesn't have the climactic battle, is weird. It's like seeing return of the Jedi, and just as Luke is about to confront the Emperor and Vader, it cuts to Lando racing down the tunnel. And by the time we get back to the others, the fight is already done. And we're left wondering, WTF happened?

The one shall fall, one shall stand line was brilliant, and glad it was included... to bad they didn't show any of the fight.

really, in the end, that is what ticks me off the most. I thought the rest of the movie was great, even the over use of humor, but this one thing really ruins it for me

The overusage of the human factor, Jazz's treatment and the lubrication jokes. Those are the only three I really had a beef with. Everything else was pretty good to me.

I'm sorry for those who didn't/couldn't enjoy the movie. For those who went to see Transformers expecting an indepth story & characters, well I laugh at you! I enjoyed Transformers but I honestly didn't go into the movie with huge expectations. You can only do so much with the story from a cartoon that was from the 1980s & try to integrate it for the 21st century movie goers..... The graphics were amazing, the action was intense & well the story is really about Sam..... I can't wait for the 2nd sequel by Michael Bay again! It's just a Blockbuster Summer Popcorn Movie! Get over it!
I've been reading everyone complaining about how the story line sucked but no one has mentioned how amazing & detailed the Autobots were. How the action was probably the best I've seen for this summer in theatres!
first, era has nothing to do with it at all. second, maybe if they had a better director it could hav ebeen a summer popcorn movie with a brain and heart. its been done before. I forgot its name...something like spider-man 2? but no, thats from the 60's... 21st century americans wouldnt like that...

the lube jokes were pretty funny i thought

There was enough humor in the film as it was. The lube jokes just looked like they were pandering to the lowest common denominator. I just felt that when Prime was on screen things should have been a tad more mature and less informal than that.

I thought so too. It felt like they crossed Transformers with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I love TMNT... but TF to me was simply never as infantile as this movie was.

The one thing I didn't care for, was it seemed like Optimus Prime got manhandled by Megatron way too easily.

I figured OP would get some better hits in on Megatron.

I didn't find flaws in the movie. I was too busy watching the unbelieveable special effects, destructions, funny moments about the movie.

Every movie has some flaws. After the first part of your post I lost ya though.

I loved the movie and thought it was awesome I just wish I could have seen more of OP fighting. It is just that the OP and Bonecrusher fight was one-sided which I loved however OP fighting Megatron was pretty much one-sided too. However, I loved the whole thing Megatron, OP, BB, explosions, destruction everything.

Black people in sometype of sterotypical role, which Bay usually does.

It was a great first post:whatever: ....and an utterly useless one. It offered nothing of value, other than the entertainment value that stems from seeing a human being actually talking out of his or her's own ass. Thanks for the laugh.

You would know about talking out of the ass right, seeing thats all you ever do, bet you could wipe your nose and ass at the same time seeing they are both on your face and thats where your talkin comes from hey ass head?

You're probably not gonna last here long..

Ya know for people arguing with most who hate the movie..the title of the thread is "What did you hate about this movie". If you don't like it go somewhere else.

I didn't hear anyone crying about stereotypes on Bad Boys or Bad Boys II...

I just thought that the Black actors like Anthony Anderson, Bernie Mac, and Tyrese fit their characters based very much on themselves or their public personas...It made it somewhat believable. I'd say, there's a thin line between a cliche and a stereotype..

I thought it was overdone.... until someone reminded me about the white surder duuuuude in the beginning (Sam's tree climbing friend). So I realized the movie was more like a Mel Brooks movie where everybody is a walking joke. lol.

What! In BB2 when they were in that electronics store and that fat loud ass black women talking shyt. Yes I did complain.

Tyrese was good. Bernie Mac was ok, but that comment "get you cousin out of that clown suit, he scaring the white folk" I guess that was supposed to be funny. Anthony Anderson, whom I like was the black sterotypical comic relief and served no purpose. Like I said before Bay did no type of development to even establish Anderson's character as this great hacker. You just never got the the feeling he was. The chick Maggie seem to be the residence scientist or the knowledgable tech person, so why did she even need Glen? She even tells him or ask him to rewire the old radio system thru the computer so they can get a single to the military in moris code, and he in dumbfounded fashion says "why do that " or something of that nature. Like I said Anderson was the typical sterotypical black comic relief, who wasn't even developed enough to show that he even had above average intelligence let alone him being a computer genius.

The only thing I didn't like about the movie was the very short screentime of Starscream, Bonecrusher and Devastator... They should have givin more attention to these characters. Also it took very long before the Transformers finally united together. I could tell everybody was tired of waiting... :whatever: BUT, I LOVED THE MOVIE, CAN"T WAIT FOR PART 2!

maybe they'll focus on ss being some sort of leader in the sequel until the return of Megs

there is no scene that I hated in this film... in fact my favorite wasn't even an action sequence...lol

I'm sure this has been mentioned since this thread is a horrible amalgam of about 6 other threads but...

Why did we (the earthlings) drop Megatron in the Arctic icey oceans(where he could clearly be rescued), instead of completely disassembling him and using his spare parts to re-build the city?

Yes, Yes I know there's supposed to be a sequel, but any writer worth their salt should've known there's aslo supposed to be a Soundwave to drag Meg's sorry butt out of there after he got his backside blown out... at least they got the Starscream thing right.

Considering the Decepticons were generally so easy to blow up and have their asses handed to them, I guess they figured reinforcements would never be able to dive to the depths of the Ocean and get crushed. Yeah, it makes little sense.

Answer to everything: dump it in the Ocean.

Ha, that sounds like the tag line from a bad pollution commercial about saving our Oceans.

Or can someone tell me how the Autobots found out about Sam Witwicky's grandfather? The Deceptinerds had to do some hacking but the autoboots just seemed to know?? It may just be me, but I missed that part.
