The Dark Knight Rises What do you not like about the movie?

Of course I'll actually need to see the film to answer the question properly, but in all honesty, I'm pretty satisfied with the way this film shaped up across the board.

As for Hathaway, ugly is an awfully extreme label. I'm kind of indifferent to her casting, and I can think of women who are more sexy, seductive, etc. but she is a far cry from being ugly.

Agreed. There are certainly actresses that are more obviously naturally sexy and seductive. In other films I've seen her in she's more girl-next-door. But that's where acting comes in and, as you say, we really need to wait and see whether she can pull it off in the film.

That It came after The Dark Knight. Because No matter how good this movie is.....there will always be haters.:whatever:

The posters for the most part, have been ugly. The poster of a broken Bat cowl from last December, and more recently, there was a poster showing Batman standing atop a cop car. The same exact picture of Batman that was used in promotional material for The Dark Knight is photoshopped onto a poster for the sequel. WTH is that? This is a big-budget motion picture, yet they're photoshopping pictures from previous Batman films to make "new" posters?

How skinny Bane looks.

Catwoman's costume, and the actress playing her.

Otherwise, all positive.

Don't be so quick to call people haters. Even if they don't like something or wish some elements were made another way.

I can make a list of what I don't like in BB and TDK. In any movie.

I think people are over-reacting about Bruces tenure as Batman. Yes, he was Batman for 2 years in the first 2 movies, then he retires for 8 years, then comes back for this new one. I honestly think "the end" means the end of his origen years. At the end of this movie, he will be victorious and has won over Gotham as their hero. Nolan is saying its the end of Batmans story, but I think its the end of the foundation of Batmans roots. Hes overcome The Joker and his meanest oponent Bane, and now hes earnt the trust of Gotham and the police, and can continue on with the city behind him. Hes found peace and has no more reason to run.

i just hope the ras flash backs stuff dont remind me of SM3 uncle ben and sandman crap

Difference between Nolan's and Raimi's styles guarantee that.

This whole 2 years active, followed by 8 year retirement, followed by one last go only to retire immediately after, is really bothering me. Nolan, in his quest for a realistic Batman movie, has completely gimped Batman and I feel that he wiped his butt with all the Batman comics and novel out there. A masked vigilante is not even realistic at all. Seal Team 6 is proficient because they work in teams, and even then, their missions don't always end with everyone alive. Yet you have this one man team of Batman fighting terrorists. Yeah, sure is realistic!

I can't help but to laugh at this Batman's face. Legendary? Yeah right. He sure disappointed Ra's because this Batman who is only active for at most 4 years, did not turn himself into a legendary symbol. He is but a man, nothing more.

I doubt the 8 year retirement thing (if that's even true) can be attributed to realism.

3 years total to be fighting crime is a pretty long amount of time for the average person...

Tanman, I wasn't the one who called him skinny, though I do know he is far from built. Sure he's more built than your average guy in the mall, but you stack that Bane with other guys in a gym (weight lifting gym), he looks extremely underwhelming. I've got colleagues with much better and built physique than Hardy.

Why are you even comparing it to the average person? If we were to compare him to an average person, we can compare him to CIA Black Ops, FBI agents, Marines, Army, etc. These guys fight for more than 3 years. Sure they are no one man team like bats, but these are the Batmans of the real world.

Like I said earlier, people need to stop using REALISM as defense for Nolan's Batman because a masked vigilante is far from realistic. A one man team fighting terrorists is also far from realistic.

Wait... what the hell did tanman say to do with Hardy.

Except pseudo-realism is one of the pillars of this particular tale. It can't be discounted. If you've ever read anything that actually assesses how well Batman could exist in the real world, the general consensus is that he wouldn't last very long. And with this series, there's the theme of escalation. He improves, and so do criminals. So I really don't see why it's a big deal for him to come back for one last hurrah and then live in peace.

So Far, I would say the movie seems quite promising.

The only ries screwed up imo are the posters. The teaser was great. Brilliant. We haven't seen it before. It set the tone. The creative way to use the bat symbol. The broken cowel was awesome as well. But all the others.......good lord.

But are they better actors. No I didn't think so.
