The Dark Knight Rises What Do You NOT want to see in Batman 3?

I'm surprised at some of the Catwoman hate going on. I think she would work great in the third film and it's not like she'll be the only villian. Hell, if they do it right she technically won't even be considered a villian necessarily.

You're my white knight.

lots of people on these boards seem to want the third film to be the "rising of the freaks"...

I think this will be hard considering Two face is dead, The Joker will not come back, I doubt Scarecrow is coming back..... even though he wasn't played off as a much of a freak as he could have been in BB/TDK...

I don't think this film is going to have Poisin Ivy, The Madhatter, a weird and twisted Penguin, Solomon Grundy... and so on like they had in The Long Halloween/ Dark Victory..

I love the way Loeb played on this in TLH, But think without TwoFace, Joker & Scarecrow it will be hard to create this effectively in the next film... sadly.

and Catwoman and The Riddler I consider to be almost the least freak like of all batmans rogues gallery....

so who knows how if Nolan intends to effectively establish the "rise of the freaks" in gotham. he will be able to do so.

Riddler isn't a freak, no, but he seems like the apparent and obvious choice of the main villain that can work with the police in finding Batman; or, and this is my choice, as someone who once worked for the police and lost his job and is now thinking he can get his old life back by bringing down the bat all by himself, thus, he's a villain on his own, which is a villain we haven't seen(one who works by himself and not needing help). And this version should be named Edward Nashton and should stray away from the elements that were used in Batman Forever. And instead, he can be someone who uses the internet, giant billboards within Gotham and et cetera to get Batman's attention.

But...Black Mask(as the minor villain) can be viewed as a freak because he wears a black mask, a black mask that I think should be so tight on his face that thugs will think the mask IS his face. Not a freak of his own choice, but he makes people think he's such like the norm that Gotham has seen.

And...I also want Deadshot. And a Deadshot that is scarred up and everything like that to make him look like a war veteran. And he's the assassin that doesn't take money, but takes his victims' blood for his reward. He could even be someone who would drink the blood. Just a thought though, lol.

I would like for this time for someone not to discover Batman's secret identity this time. Almost every single live action film since the first one had someone discovering the identity of his alter ego. Vicki Vale in Batman. Selina Kyle and Max Shreck in Batman Returns. Robin, Two-Face, Riddler, and Chase Merridian in Batman Forever. Batgirl in Batman & Robin. Rachel and Fox in Batman Begins. And Coleman Reese in The Dark Knight. I'd like for once if for an entire movie, his secret identity would remain secret.

I like it when people discover his identity. Especially when it serves the story as well as the character development.

I particularly liked it in the Nolan movies. I think his identity should play a large role in B3, considering he's a wanted man (moreso that in TDK) and all.

Did Max Shreck really learn the true identity of Batman? I think he believed to the end that Bruce Wayne just wore a Batman costume

No, he did find out. After he said "And Bruce Wayne, why are you dressed up like Batman?", Selina replied "Because he is Batman, you moron", to which Max replied "Was" and shot Batman.

Shreck just couldn't at first believe someone like Wayne could be Batman. But I'm sure it wasn't hard for him to comprehend it right after.

I speak for all of us when I say the #1 thing that should NOT be in Batman 3 is nipples.

Last night I had one of the most random dreams in a long time. This film isn't really on my mind all the time due to no info being released but I had a dream about it anyways.

It was weird because it had Talia in it and the movie was a massive disappointment like on the level of Spider-Man 3. Not because it was a "third" film with that whole trilogy curse but it was somehow tied to Talia being in the film.

As usual in dreams, not everything is explained or answered but the few parts of the dream I remember was seeing some fictional scenes with her and then being outside after having finished watching it and being heavily disappointed.

Random post I know, i'm bored and felt like sharing this useless info. Funny thing is that I don't have any hate towards Talia which is what makes the dream so weird.

i do not want a yellow chest emblem. for burton it's fine, but for nolan? nope.

NOt sure what I don't want to see but I know what I don't want to hear. Batman sounding like a sick dog when he talks.

@ Sick dog voice: I was rewatching the hockey pads scene (from TDK) again last night and I noticed that when he's in the Begins suit, he sounds a lot more like.. Begins Batman. At least most of the time.

Pretty convinced after that that the mask/neck bit have significant impact on his voice quality. It was way smoother and stylish in Begins, 'sick dog' is a great description of the TDK version. :funny:

I love it too, and it's one of the things that I most hope happens in the third film... the problem with Batman though is that because he doesn't have anyone very close to him (either Bruce or Batman), the effect of finding out who he really is, will never be that dramatic.

You do know audio alterations were done to his voice in post-production right? That isn't just Bale's voice.

Elaborate.

Either way, it -does- change substantially with the costume change.

They "enhanced" his voice after he shot his scenes. I think they just amplified his voice, but I'm not exactly sure? Either way, I hope they tone it down to a more BB-voice, I thought it was more balanced in that.

I wanna see the suit for the most part stay the same. I loved the chest and armor. The neck was ok. Didnt really bother me.

Yep, they did some stuff like added extra bass and magnified it in some places. This wasn't done in Begins, except for the Flass interrogation ("Swear to me!!!").

Catwoman is old subject...no thanks.
I want to see someone new and the best example is Talia.
But the real problem is not Catwoman so much, it´s her fans who are boring, repetitive and tiring, who insist the whole time like a broken disc that she alone is worth and will work in the third movie and the rest is garbage.
Please spare me ...:whatever:

^ I don't entirely understand your post, balehead. But from what I do understand, I don't see why Catwoman fans being lame means Catwoman is a bad idea for the film.
