The Dark Knight Rises What Do You NOT want to see in Batman 3?

I think Gotham looked distinctively different in both films and I love that actually. I would still say that "Begins" had more of a comic book feel to it. A bit more fantastical than TDK.

I think the way the city looks is supposed to be a metaphor for how gotham is now a better place thanks to batman. It was dirtier in begins and cleaner in TDK. Like he's "cleaning up" the city, if you will.

^ In that same scene, there's a "Chicago's Best Pizza" sign in one of the buildings. You think someone in post-production would've removed it digitally or something.

Anyway, I'm mixed on how Gotham was handled in TDK. It looked gorgeous, but it didn't look like Gotham. On the other hand, Gotham in BB looked terrible. Way too much cheap CGI was used. I think the next Batman should look like TDK, but with very subtle CGI to make it look more Gotham-ier.

In which scenes??

I thought that had to do with BB taking place mostly in the "barrows" (I think that's what everyone referred to that area as...the slums of Gotham).

Begins rarely ventured away from the slums, so we only got to see the gritty Gotham of that movie. Then in TDK, since the movie took place outside of the "barrows" or whatever it was called, probably in the middle and upperclass districts of Gotham, this time we got a "cleaner" looking Gotham.

There was a scene in Begins (right after Batman takes down the gangsters loading the stuffed bears filled with drugs near the trailers) where Batman is standing on the roof of a skyscrapper and the scene pans out to show the cityscape of Gotham, and for that one moment, BB's Gotham looked exactly like TDK's Gotham. I think it just had to do with which part of Gotham BB focused on.

uh..the narrows? It's the letter right next to "B" on your keybored. C'mon!

Yes. The city in both films didn't really look all that different as a whole, the only actual difference was the absence of the Narrows (and monorail) in TDK.

You never heard of the Barrows in Botham?

Untrue. A troll is someone who goes around going 'Catwoman sucks! Bane sucks!' and delights in upsetting fans of those characters and giving them a hard time - a sensation you, in fact, described yourself as having. This is what caused a mod to kindly ask you to step out of the Catwoman thread.

Now, if you disliked the characters and provided intellectual reasoning and a valid argument for that opinion, you wouldn't be a troll.

Someone's touchy about catwoman!

Haha a little. I just think Catwoman is the singlemost character that deserves to be reinvented, especially since that "Catwoman" movie wasn't worthy of its title and people often associate the character with that movie. With this new direction of the Batman franchise, now is the perfect time for her name to be cleared and maybe people will start appreciating the character again.

I didn´t say "Bane sucks" .
And after, what matters if I say why I don´t want Catwoman if you would never respect my opinion.
No matter what I say you always would be against that.
For you,nothing that I say it´s valid,so...
Sorry, dear, but I won´t waste my time explaining anything.

Yeah, and I never said ''catwoman sucks'' and I'm already a troll.
Go figure...

I see. Actually, I don't dislike the character. I just can't see her working with this trilogy ( much in the same way I can't see Robin working). Nolan could surprise me though.

Agreed, although the monorail is there, I think, it's just really quick. After the Joker video where he kills the fake Batman, they show that establishing shot of the city, focusing on Wayne's penthouse. If you look to the lower left, you can see the monorail, or at least something closely resembling it.

I understand now. We'll just have to wait and see what Nolan does, but I bet he'll surprise us both.
