I happen to think Harry/Goblin stuff is some of the most exciting stuff in the trailers and leaked trailer footage, regardless of his suit change. I also happen to like the suit, not so much the mask. The glider I can deal with, because the first appearence of the Goblin in the comics, he was flying around on a f---ing broom...you people didn't have a problem with that. Oh yeah, that's right, because it came from the comics, so BROOMS are cool, fanboys.

Let's see what we do have, Harry takes the Goblin formula, is avenging his father's death and blames Spider-Man, fight his best friend, he flies around on a glider, throws pumpkin bombs/razor bats, uses his fathers weapons (all but the Power Ranger suit/mask), he has a suit and mask, he talks to his dead daddy, has ariel battles that make GG/Spidey sky time fun look pale, and dies a hero. If this is dropping the ball, I'll be there to pick it up, dribble it, take it home and play some f---ing hoops with it.

It's amazing how desperate you all are, to see a grown ass man dressed in a Goblin suit, yet you keep blurting out this realism crap in comic book movies (which is asinine) in the same breath. Sometimes you people baffle the sh:t out of me.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I was never a fan of the broomstick flyer - and, lets face it...the Goblin at that time was a complete joke. But, honestly...I'd rather have the broomstick then a damn snowboard. Or a paintball mask. That retracts. And a sword.

Thats my point! WHY OH WHY if they are going the whole Goblin Legacy do they have him dressed like a damn paintball player and flying around as the 'Night Surfer'?!

As far as Harry and the whole Spider-Goblin War Raimi has dropped the ball. Hell, why not have Harry dressed up in a Kangaroo suit? I mean, he'll still have the glider and bombs right?

Hell, I'd be happy if they kept the damn paintball ninja outfit but atleast dubbed him the second Green Goblin! That is...after all, who Harry IS. Otto was Dr Octopus, Brock is Venom...Harry was the second Goblin. If he's going to act the exact same way as the Night Surfer, why the change?

Of course it's based on the comics, but if you haven't figured out by now that changes are always going to be made to the movie version (some you won't like), then you never will. You'll be angry and gasping for the rest of your life, with pretty much every comic book movie released. If they make changes to the characters in the comic books themselves, you know the movie is going to have changes, that you may not like. And MARVEL loves allowing changes to the characters in the COMICS, CARTOONS and MOVIES. That's not going to change any time soon, because it's their characters...you have the choice not to buy into it...or do you?

umm people didnt like normans suit not because it was a goblin, but because it looked like crap.. this original style... is not lame... this would have given a new costume to harry.. as well as keeping the goblin theme

alex rosses goblin, the one i quoted is kind of a little too high tech, i like the suit they chose for norman in spidey1 more, im glad they chose a diffrent suit for harry, hes just out for revenge.

You pretty much love anything in the movies and hate anything that opposes what's in the movies don't you? I mean I agree with you that the goblin suits in the movies aren't quite as bad as everyone specualtes them to be but they could have been much better.

I can kinda accept it. There are two reasons:

1. Story purposes. Harry was probably in shock of one more thing at the end of Spidey 2, aside from Peter is Spider-Man. He was shocked that his dad was the maniac that lobbed a bomb at him and his girlfriend. We know he wants revenge. So he dubbs this outfit since it would be awkward to wear the outfit his daddy died in, and that outfit was what poppa was wearing when he tried to kill him.

2. Budget. Venom PROBABLY took a chomp out of what was left of the budget after Sandman's SFX.

thats what i said in another thread a while back, that goblin is horrible, i defenitley agree with you on that, that goblin was no where near as good as the green goblin in the movie.
