Ok this is puzzling me also.

I am a fan of the spiderman films and whileit seems they may get Venom correct (black sludge) Harrys suit has raised my eyebrow.

Especially after seeing the closeup of his suit i am truly wondering if that is all that they did with the suit. Why didnt they take the Hobgoblin colors and pimp out the green goblin costume? I dont get it. My ideas for Harrys costume after spiderman 2 were on the lines of:

- Gold mask and touches on the suit, fiercer but more realistic expression, rework the shape of the mask
- dark red eyes
- more armor
- a cloak
- advanced glider, more weapons, more more more

That thing wouldve been the perfect sucessor to Green Goblin: loud, bigger, better.

Oh and perhaps the new serum he takes would be yellow... a more powerful formula.

I am a supporter of directors making alterations with comic elements if they feel its a better fit for film (i thought x3 phoenix was spot on) but i hope they havent messed this one up. Its still early... i have faith in Sam Raimi.

lol i too thought it was an unfinished shot when i saw the trailer. It doesnt look like much, just a blue burglar suit and or/a denim outfit with a glider...eh. The sucessor to goblin should be a spectacle, especially since these films take pride in being fantastical and comic-esque.

The rest of the teaser footage went by way too fast to describe in detail, but we did see Harry Osborn in a black ninja-like suit swinging a samurai sword at Peter Parker and there were extensive fight scenes between Spider-Man and Sandman, which weren't even close to being finished, but looked quite fantastic. There was also a little more footage of the new Harry Osborn/Goblin character, which Raimi explained later wouldn't be called either the "Green Goblin" or the "Hobgoblin," but it is Harry using his father's Goblin equipment to get revenge on Peter Parker. (So that's two people who don't like Peter Parker… not to mention the Sandman!)

So there you have it, Harry will be a spelunking samurai.

I don't get it though. Near the end of Spider-Man 2 he uncovered everything including the Goblin Helmet. It would have been intresting in the movie if Peter thought Norman was back until it's revealed it's Harry.

IMO they shouldve highlighted the fact that HobGoblin is directly affiliated with Green. A more similar suit for a "HobGoblin" wouldve done this well and Peter wouldve seen him and knew instantly: Its Harry.

I can do without the "ha ha ha!" s tho lol

If Harry was GG2 with an updated GG suit,then Hobgoblin would never be in the movies,it would be too many Goblins.That is why Harry should of been the Hobgoblin.He would of been his own Goblin.

We would of got to check another spidey villain off the list.This snowboard/rocket racer suit,makes me wish Raimi did go his other route and make Harry acept why Peter killed his father because his dad was the GG.

At least that way,they could of saved the Hobgoblin for another movie,and they wouldn't need Harry for it then.

I noticed that too. Im still wondering the reasoning behind Harrys motives in 3. Hes somehow able to stick up for his father even if he was a maniac. So either he doesnt see him as a villain or he completely went nuts in his house in S2.

They Goblin Legacy goes down the toilet for a 10 minute 'Venom' and an Uncle-Ben-Killing Sandman.

Why Raimi? why? Was Harry's story and subsequent death in the comics not viewed as interesting and compelling?

Stealing away MJ to the bridge to tell her that whatever happen she'll be fine..

The final battle with a drugged Spidey when Harry decided they both go out with a bang.
That heroic last minute save - and the subsequent death. Not a dry eye in the crowd.

But alas...it was not meant to be. How utterly sad.

Couldn't you of gave us a latex mask that looks like real skin when the person wears it?

You could of showed how Harry as the head of Oscorp gave money to this guy who is disfigured to develop this technology.The disfigured guy could of been a nod for Chameleon fans.
