Batman: Escalation was my first hope but i cant complain about The Dark Knight at all. Could be worse.

I admire their balls for not having a number of the word Batman in the title. This does mean when the marketing starts, Warners will make it very visual to associate images of Batman with the title The Dark Knight. Joe Public won't know this is a Batman movie from the title. Some say that is the other known name for Batman. I'm not so sure. I've always known the caped crusader to be the more known over the course of time. Plus there will be people who know either. I remember back to when Dick Tracy was on it's way out, and everyone in the UK was befuddled because the teaser poster only had an silhouette of Tracy talking into the watch. No title and a more select pop culture reference will leave many clueless. As long as Nolan and Warner both know this and are preared to deal with it, everything will be fine!......

Excatly, I don't think THE DARK KNIGHT is the official title for this movie . Remember we all thought BATMAN BEGINS official title was BATMAN: THE INTIMIDATION GAME and it turn out it wasn't the official title . The official title was BATMAN BEGINS .

I'll bet it's the same for TDK . it's either going to be BATMAN : THE DARK KNIGHT ,BATMAN: RETURN OF THE DARK KNIGHT or BATMAN : The DARK KNIGHT RETURNS
