But he´s also been praised like hell for Sandman and the look of Venom, which is said to be very faithful. I´d say Ledger´s casting as Joker has been a little controversial - not on the "organics sucks!" level, but still...

No he's not after he explained Harry won't become The Green Goblin @ or The Hobgolbin . Harry will just use his father stuff but won't become The Next Goblin .

In this case i won't agree with you. Nolan has not made any bad movie before and he returned the franchise, which was dead. Every his new movie become a new masterpiece.

But Raimi is also very good director. He made amazing Evil Dead trilogy, very cool Darkman and great Spidey movies.
