What games do you want during the next generation?

Come to think of it, a Shadowrun game like the one on 360 would be cool to. The multiplayer for that one was fun.

I'd love a reboot of the Crackdown series. The first game was fantastic (and underrated). With today's crash and smash technology it could be truly something special.

A reboot? Didn't it only have one game, that's not even that old? Why not just a sequel?

Yeah just make number 3. Combine the best ideas of 1 and 2. Mostly 1

A sequel would be fine too. I just finished playing the new Tomb Raider game a few days ago, so I figured a rehash wouldn't hurt. I'd be just as happy with Crackdown 3 though.

A game set in a prehistoric world similar to the Savage Land. Sprawling jungles with other varied environments that have weather effects and creatures like dinosaurs, sabretooths, giant insects, carnivorous plant-life, etc. And combine the savage prehistoric world with magic and ancient technology.

Then in multiplayer have it be like the Division and Destiny where you can have a certain amount of other players in your tribe. Maybe it can even be an MMO.

Have you ever heard of B.C? Sounds like the kind of thing you're talking about. B.C was a game being developed for the original Xbox but for whatever reason it got cancelled. You can see a short video of it here. I think a game like this would be enormously popular, here's hoping we can one someday. We got Star Wars Battlefront 3 after all!

I've never heard of B.C., was more of a PS2 person back then. The game does look really similar, sucks to hear it was cancelled because it could have possibly paved the way for more games like that.

I didn't think Battlefront 3 was going to happen(up until Disney bought Lucasfilm) so yeah, here's hoping. :woot:

You know what we really need? A Green Lantern video game. Since the last movie just about made the chance of a good green lantern film coming out anytime soon pretty much extinct I reckon green lantern would be the best character for video games, way better even than batman.

Consider playing the war of light as a multiplayer experience!:wow:

More crossover titles and not simply fighting games. I want ND and Eidos to collaborate and have Nathan Drake meet up with Lara Croft

Jak and Ratchet seem like they'd blend well since both are platformers with shooting mechanics

How about a non-canon game which has Kratos link up with Nariko from Heavenly Sword?

As much as I like your idea and would love to play it, comic book games are mostly condemned as crap-near instant mediocrity, they name a game that makes a good palette for a video game based on that character, they get it, don't compare the two, and say it's lazy development, then wish the game was like the game they listed

So I think after LEGO Marvel, there should be no further comic book games, only Batman in the Arkham series until that arc comes to the necessary end, then no more, not even Batman by Rocksteady

Just so I'm understanding you properly: Your answer to making sure there's no more crappy comic-based video games is...to give up on them entirely?

Seriously? Just because most comic book games aren't great, doesn't mean there won't be some good ones in the future. Batman was considered to have some of the worst comic book video game of all time before Arkham Asylum. What if they decided Arkham wasn't worth being made because Dark Tomorrow sucked? I'm sorry but that's just terrible logic.

Besides, Arkham Asylum/City aren't the only great comic book games this gen. The Walking Dead from Telltale was a near-perfect comic book to video game adaptation IMO (in terms of capturing the feel of the comic).

Personally, I think Daredevil is long overdue for his own game. Make it a mix of Arkham City (combat-wise with an expanded radar sense similar to detective mode) and Assassin's Creed (free-running, climbing, etc).

Sorry haven't look through much of this thread but -

- A Superman game definitely. With the fight style of MoS.
- If Watchdogs is as good as it looks. Many of them.
- Another. Even bigger. Mass Effect. With a good ending
- An Assassins Creed set in the modern day
- An open world Time-Travel (don't ask me how or what its about :D)
- 24 game
- Arkham Games (possibly co-op)
- A decent open world co-op zombie game

The Arkham game should be the last. With Origins it doesn't look like they are adding much new (which is fine as its a prequel but still) and I think one more set after City would be perfect. The gameplay and stories have been great but I think after 4 games it may start to wear thin no matter the potential for villains.

Oh and a decent bloody Star Trek game!

Some of you all beat me too it as far as a Superman game, I would also like to see

-A new X-Men game, along the style of and scale of Mass Effect
-Reboot of Mega Man
-Another Shinobi game
-The return of Bushido Blade
-Another freeroam Spider-Man game, this time with the level of detail paralleling GTA
-A new Road Rash game
-A complete reboot of Resident Evil

I want Ubsisoft to call up Universal and say hey you see that Far Cry 3 game we made last year well we want to do another and we want it to be on Site B. what do we need to do for the Jurassic Park license

Did you guys read the first part? Not bad games, unfairly bad reception

Of course we read the first part. I mean I can't speak for SpideyForPrez, but I don't make a habit of skipping the first paragraph when reading posts. Even with the first part of your post, what it appears you're saying is "They shouldn't make comic-based video games anymore because the majority of them are bad (or poorly received)." I'm just asking you to clarify what exactly you meant, because I as I read it currently it doesn't make much sense.

People don't make sense. They say they want a comic book game to be something, they get it, whine about it, and then they say they want what's in it again, but don't admit it's in the game they got already

They whine, whine whine whine, no appreciation for getting what they want, and that's not just by a few, more than half of the people
And I'm not talking about the bad games, the few good games that got unfairly bashed for doing what the people demand

I've wanted a excellent Jurassic Park Survival FPS for years. :(
