I read/like these two but did they have several tie-ins like Civil War..?

lol The tie-ins weren't as bad as the main story for Civil War.

If you mean sheer, "GOTTA BUY GOTTA BUY GOTTA BUY!!!!" then WWH did pretty good.

The tie-ins to CW weren't as bad as CW itself.

And in terms of gigantic crosswide, every title affect crossover which was done well? World War Hulk. Until the last issue with the Sentry. Which made no sense.

I think the biggest problem with major crossovers are characters acting out of character.

What if Civil War was written intelligently???

The Young Avengers(not the New Warriors) cause the destruction of Stamford. Sensing the backlash Cap assembles every hero in the US and they become a united front. Cap goes to Washington with his proposal of what should happen. Every hero is now an Avenger with him as acting director answerable only to the president and a board of leaders consisting of Tony Stark, Reed Richards, Professor Xavier and Dr. Strange.

sweet I'll continue....we find that the US reluctantly agrees but there is a sense that something else is going on. Another incident happens and the government is on the verge of going after supers. Moonknight is the only one to see the signs of something else going on...but who trusts him.
Anyway to make a long story short we find that the villain behind CW is actually Hate-monger

The Skrull invasion was stopped, Norman Osborn fired the shot seen around the world and was put in charge of America's security.
Now the man formerly known as the Green Goblin has the job Nick Fury once had.
This becomes too much for Peter. His girlfriend, the only real love of his life [blackout](since he doesn't remember that he and MJ got together since the One More Day storyline)[/blackout] was murdered by that monster. And now Norman is in charge?
Peter decides to do something about it.

So in Captain America, Steve Rogers is a young man who is too weak and sickly to join the army, So they use the Super Soldier Serum on Steve and he becomes bigger, stronger, faster, the height of human perfection.
What If... They had originally used the Super Soldier Serum on someone who was already big, strong, and fast?
What If they used the Serum on a well trained Soldier, like Nick Fury,
or, What If they used the Serum on a already established Hero like the Angel?

Wouldn't that just simply take them tot he point of human perfection, and thus the same as Cap?


I know there was a Cap/Iron Man teamup back in the 90's where they fought a whole island filled with people who were perfect like Cap, and they were all perfect...like Cap. XD

In the Comics Bruce Banner saved Rick Jones from the Gamma Bomb by pushing him into a deep ditch, but was hit by the full force of the bomb himself... turning him into the Hulk.

What If... Bruce wasn't able to get Rick to safety in time?
What if both Bruce Banner and Rick Jones were hit by the full force of the Gamma Bomb at the same time?

What if Dr. Doom had the infinity gauntlet

What If... used her powers to their full potential?
She could use the powers of Mystique, Multiple Man, Charles/Jean/Psylocke, and others to create actual authentic duplicates of other people.
She could make an army of X-Men, the the minds of the actual X-Men and the powers too. She could Make three duplicates using Multiple Man's powers. morph them to look like Jean, Juggernaut, and Magneto, with Mystique's powers. And with the powers of Xavier, Jean, and others combined, she could give them each the exact personality of Jean, Juggernaut, and Magneto.

What If... Gambit used his powers to blow up things bigger than cards? What if he blew up entire cars, or tanks, of a parking lot side walk, so on.


What if Red Skull (with a mutated face and not a mask) kidnapped Steve Rogers and switched bodies with him?
So now Steve is in Red Skull's body and Red Skull is in Captain America's body.
But while trying to get his body back from the Red Skull a chase/fight breaks out. In that fight Red Skull, along with Steve's body, dies. Is incinerated or something.
Now Steve is stuck in the body of his arch enemy for ever.
Luckily SHIELD, Fury, the Avengers, and most heroes close to him, know its really Steve. But the public doesn't
Steve redesigns his costume to conceal his entire face. And now fights as a darker Captain America. He never even takes off the mask off duty, he can't bare to look at himself.

Same idea, but with Spider-Man.
What If Norman Osborne swapped bodies with Peter?
Then Norman, in Pete's body, dies. Peter is left in Norman's body.
Now, with slightly different powers, Peter must become a different Spider-Man. Because no matter what body he is in, "With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility."

What If... Dr. Doom, Rama Tut, Kang the Conqueror, Scarlet Centurion, and Immortus, were actually all from the same blood line? Or the same person?
Dr. Doom first met Rama Tut, they both quickly came to the conclusion that Rama Tut was actually a descendant of Doom's or that they were in fact the same man in different points in time. Rama Tut is Kang, and the Scarlet Centurion, and Immortus is a future version of Kang.
What if they were descendants or the same man?
What if... Kang the Conqueror, Rama Tut, the Scarlet Centurion, and Immortus were decedents of Dr. Doom?

What if ...Dr. Doom, Kang the Conqueror, Rama Tut, the Scarlet Centurion, and Immortus, were all the same man... Victor Von Doom?




What if ... Rama Tut succeeded in claiming En En Sabah Nur (the mutant destined to become Apocalypse) as his heir?

Since the Blob was a Circus Performer before turning into a professional Mutant Terrorist for the Brotherhood and maybe went from circus to circus, what if one of them was the Ringmaster's?

What If... the Hulk never left the control of the Ringmaster?
What If the Ringmaster learned how to control the Hulk and never let him go?

What If... never left the control of Rick Jones?
What if the Hulk never left the stage of his mutation where he was controlled by Rick Jones, while Rick was awake, and stayed the Hulk all the time, and never turned back into Bruce Banner?

A "The Nail" type story for Marvel. What If the spy hadn't pushed the launch button, couldn't kill a man, at the last minute and Dr. Banner was never turned into the Hulk ever?
What repercussions would there be?

Temporal Instanity

Sort of the Grandmaster's ultimate game. He calls forward to his future self and plays a game, heroes against their counter parts from different eras. Spider-Man vs. Spider-Girl, Punisher vs. Punisher 2099. Daredevil Vs. The Devil Who Dares, Captain America from 1933 vs. Steve Rodgers shortly before death. the Fantastic Four vs. the Four Fantasticks.
