If they could get an after credits sequence with Spidey and actually somehow keep it secret even the GA would lose their minds. But now we're talking double pipe dreams!

Felicity Jones on Black Cat.

GQ: We read rumors that you're Amazing Spider-Man's Black Cat.

Felicity: Being vacuum-packed into a leather suit, doing backflips?! I'd love that. Can you start a petition for me?

I'm not gonna lie, I'm fine with her in a leather suit.

Am I in an alternate universe where 'hideous' means something other than what I think hideous means?

I'm looking forward to a potential Black Cat movie far more than Sinister Six.

Because the symbiote was also in SM3? My plan would be to split it up in 2 films.

Yes, but also

- introducing Brock and new potential love interest (Gwen in SM3, MJ in ASM3)
- Spider-Man being framed
- Brock writing false stuff about Spidey for the Bugle
- Brock is fired from the Bugle
- black Spidey beating the villain (Sandman in SM3, Kraven in ASM3) until realizing that it's actually the suit
- Spider-Man removing the symbiote in a church tower.

It's meant at your post since you called it a pipe dream, which is what it is at this moment. Sony would want a ridiculous amount of money at this point, which is not worth spending at the moment.

Had the MCU been struggling with new faces then maybe they'd go for the sure bet which is Spidey. However, when you have movies like GOTG making a ton of money (3rd highest grossing film) and doing amazing with the critics, there's no reason to play it safe. That's why they're going with Inhumans, Captain Marvel, Black Panther and Doctor Strange.

Do I want Spidey in the MCU? 101%. Am I accepting the fact that it probably won't happen? 99%.

The question about Spidey and Feige's "lack of an answer" is the only small glimmer or hope we have blended with all the rumours circulating.

I must've missed this. Did someone recently ask Feige straight up about Spider-man???

Yeah, although alongside the rumour the Russos would direct Avengers 3+4. He said something along the lines of if it wasn't announced it's either still being worked out or isn't true, which kinda leads me to believe some sort of talks are going on

Gwen died in ASM2 so what other choice do you have? The theme of the movie would be moving on. MJ represents that there's a life for Peter after Gwen. That he can move on. That would be the moment he decides to escape from the grave.

- Spider-Man being framed
- Brock writing false stuff about Spidey for the Bugle
- Brock is fired from the Bugle

All based from the source material. My biggest difference is that Brock rightfully thinks Spider-Man is committing crimes, and who can blame him? Unlike in SM3, Brock sees what everybody else does and simply writes about what's happening not knowing somebody is impersonating Spider-Man, so when Chameleon turns out to be the one responsible for all these crimes, all eyes are on the Daily Bugle for running with the idea of Spider-Man being a criminal. In an attempt to clear its name and save face, the Bugle blames Brock for writing the article and fires him. In return Brock blames Spider-Man. Don't we always blame somebody else in life?

- black Spidey beating the villain (Sandman in SM3, Kraven in ASM3) until realizing that it's actually the suit
- Spider-Man removing the symbiote in a church tower.

Spidey beating Sandman in SM3 happened halfway through the movie, and it wasn't until Peter struck MJ that he realized the suit was changing him. Here, he only shows up wearing the traditional blue and red suit during the space shuttle crash at the beginning of the movie and wears the black costume for the rest of the movie. Being buried alive combined with the symbiote feeding off his anger makes him go into a rage and nearly kill Kraven, and unlike SM3, Peter forcefully removing the symbiote in a church tower would be the climax of the film just like it should be. A mid or post-credits scene shows Brock and the symbiote bonding.

Sony should avoid EBJ and the drooling idiot Venom like the plague . I have just recently read the 'Circle of Four' and I now have a new found respect for the Venom character with Flash as the host, but I would still avoid the character entirely because the back story is too complicated and the pay off of the Venom character wouldn't be worth it.

Yes sir.

When they showcased their "Phase 3" lineup they had questions afterwards. Someone asked about Spider-Man potentially joining the MCU. This was his response: "Anything that wasn't specifically and obviously revealed today is either not true at all, or still rumor until it's worked out."

Interesting...

I'm still not a fan of Sony's current Spider-man in the MCU, even if it were able to worked out between the two studios.

I would, however, be a huge fan of a Marvel Studios Spider-man in the MCU.

Thanks.

Most people would be with you on that. I'd love to see an IM or GOTG quality Spider-Man origin movie done by the MCU later on down the road. I wonder which villain they'd use seeing as how most of them are already "used" lol.

Do a Spidey origin based off of the Ultimate comics & have Hulk Goblin.

Thanks.

Interesting...

with the current plan marvel have i really wouldn't put any thought into the whole "untill its worked out" part

i heard also that the person who asked about the spider-man thing also asked a question about the Capt america 2 directing in a double question
