Venom isn’t very good. Neither was The Meh, I mean The Meg.

Assuming you're watching a movie at home, if you're in the middle of a movie you realize it's terrible, do you watch it til the end?

I can't say I've ever seen a "terrible" movie because I'm pretty selective of what I pay to see in theaters. If it's at home, I'll start a movie and if I'm not pulled in by the first twenty or so minutes, I don't bother.

Depends on how far I get in the movie and if I'm with other people. If I'm by myself and can tell the movie is going to be bad within the first 10 minutes I'll turn it off. Anything later and I'll still watch, but might pay less attention to. Most of the "terrible" movies I watch end up being in theaters or if I'm with friends and we try and we purposefully look for something that will be bad with the intention of laughing.

Usually I do because I'm hoping to find something redeeming about it. It's rare for me to turn off a flick, even **** shows like The Bloody Ape. I did fat forward through flicks like Hellroller, Rubber and Dark Nature, so I guess they would count. They were really boring. Should have FFed through Batman v Superman, saved myself some grief.

Last terrible movies SI watched were Gutterballs and Rise of the Zombies. Glad I only paid for one of those.

Wolf of Wall Street. That film should be used to torture war criminals, exclusively.

    Superman IV: Quest for Peace

It's kinda entertaining, there are a couple of really heartwarming moment, that doesn't change that it's terrible.

Couldn't agree more. But for me those moments make it worth a watch every now and again - I just FF through all the Jon Cryer bits.

I think it was probably Peppermint. Full of cliches, the type of movie we've seen ten million times before.

I've been on an MST3K and Rifftrax binge lately, but the last big budget Hollywood suckfest I saw was The Hunger Games

    Disney's The Kid

I thought with Bruce Willis in it, it might be good.

    NOPE.

I'd heard so much about Boondock Saints, so I thought I'd give it a try. Had to turn it off halfway through. The direction felt so amateur and the acting was so subpar for the most part. I kind of liked the two leads, and Dafoe of course, but everyone else was just horrible. I don't understand the hype, and I actually enjoy cheesy action movies.

MST3K is great, and I've heard awesome things about the new season, but it's no available in my country's Netflix. :cmad::cmad::cmad:

Yeah, a very overrated film - not the worst ever but hardly deserving of the love it gets.

    Ouija: Origin of Evil

It was all just dumb. It was super predictable and the whole end was stupid, with that dumb icing on the cake where Paulina kills her mom while she's possessed and then she ends up crazy. It's just annoying that everything went sour. I was hoping at least she'd stay sane. :sigh:

The question is, how do I choose between Don't Breathe and this? I honestly don't think I can. :thf:

London Fields. Why this thing isn't winning Razzies right now I don't know. The cartoonish "hipness" and childish finger-wagging about how our sins are destroying us make that Indian conservative documentarian and Ayn Rand look subtle. The mystery of what the filmmakers were thinking will puzzle historians for centuries.

I used to love that movie but it really does feel dated now and Duffy’s direction is really amateurish. You should watch Overnight sometime to see what an A-hole Duffy really is. It’s the documentary that the other guys who helped him make the film put together.

What makes it qualify as terrible?

I might as well have been watching that Monster Trucks (2016) movie.
Also at least the Bayformers & even Bay Turtles had the decency to just have the weird stuff set years-decades before the events of the movie's plot. Because of how cheap & cursory the world building and narrative framing mechanics are, it feels like all this alien robot stuff happened before in-universe thus everyone (robot & human) can seem to just adjust to various situations so easily.
