The official reasons, guys. Intense sequences of violence and some menace.
It never is before this site for some reason. It is not listed on the MPAA site, the Prologue is however, with intrestingly enough that exact explanation.
OMG, no its gonna be PG-13!We all know that Nolan wants to take a different approach in TDK. A more "darker" film. But will this different approach still give the film a PG-13 rating? I was going through iFilm today and I came across this video of the joker. I really liked the way that the actor portrayed him in that clip. He was more "evil" and "darker". That is the way I want the joker. I really enjoyed the clip. =] So do you think the film will be given a "R" rating if they choose to go with that sense of behavior?

TDK doesnt look dark at all judging by the new trailer. It actually looks alot less dark then BB. Why does everyone think this movie is gonna be so dark?!
Cut definitions out of a dictionary put them in one big hat and you can imagine the rest.Well it's good to know there's only some menace.
Where the hell do they come up with these descriptions?
That doesnt mean its gonna be dark at all. In Spider-Man stuff blows up, people got pushed off buildings, people got half of their face burnt and people got killed but that was the farthest thing from a dark movie.Because, when Batman's looking out at the entire city BURNING, I'd say the damn film is a pretty dark one. Joker's blowing up buildings including a HOSPITAL, a fire truck goes down the street ON FIRE, Joker pushes Rachel off a building, Harvey Dent gets half his face burned. Joker dresses up as a cop in order to do an assassination at a police funeral. The damn movie will be very dark.

BB was a dark movie, I thoughtBatman Begins isn't that dark either. It's pretty uplifting actually.
Just the whole atmosphere and setting had a dark and gloomy feel to itWhat did you find dark about it?
