The Grey

Saw this again. Take away the two big superhero films, this is still easily the best film of 2012.
10/10

I really want to see this.

Watched Insomnia the other night. Still a solid - but by no means exceptional - cop flick. Robin Williams and Al Pacino work wonders though.

John Hawkes was frikkin amazing in this. What a travesty.

Dear Academy - You're all stupid.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
10/10

Maybe the score is too generous, but this is how they make a Ninja Turtles film
Get it straight Bay :argh:

The Master - 4/5

Fantastic performances, brilliant direction, stunning cinematography and an intelligent story.

Hackers.
Young Angelina Jolie was jolie (pretty), that include her 1995 look and fashion style in the movie. I also learned that the game she plays in the hacker café was a high polished WipOut prototype for PS1.

Wargames.

Watched some of Indy 4, some of something called Agora, some of Die Hard 4.

All pretty bad.

Now John Carpenter's 'The Thing' is on... I like that movie, only seen it once before.

Parenthood (1989)

A very nice little movie about parenting and families.
It strikes me that both Joaquin Phoenix and Keanu Reeves are here, but that time doesn't seem to pass for Reeves. He looks the same, while Phoenix is practically a child. IT MAKES NO SENSE.

This indie horror film called "Evidence." Came out in 2011. Oh man, this features the worst characters I've ever seen. So ****ing annoying. I applauded when they started to die.

The Package (2013)

This was ok. In line with Austin's typical efforts. Dolph was awesome, but didn't seem to care as much as he normally does. What actually impressed me was Monique Ganderton, the henchwoman who looks like the missing link between Gina Carano and Leana Heady. She was badass, I hope she gets more to do in the future. I also like that Austin and Dolph's scenes together could genuinely reference their encounter in The Expendables.

Life of Pi, which is even better the second time.

The Great Muppet Caper

Man, they just don't make family movies like they used to

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
10/10

Maybe the score is too generous, but this is how they make a Ninja Turtles film
Get it straight Bay :argh:

Still one of my favorites, the only thing I wish they could've added to the movie was a longer fight with the Shredder, but still very dramatic and awesome. Get chills when Splinter gives Shredder his "death comes for us all..." speech.

The Devil Rides Out... I love those Hammer flicks.
