Jaws on BD 10/10: This movie has made everyone's childhood including mine since i rented it on video as a kid and this is one of my favorite films ever. It has never looked or sounded better than ever on high def as it looks so flawless on HD with Spielberg's restoration you think it was filmed last year! a definite summer horror film and a must own BD for the picture/sound and some of the amazing extras

The Burning on BD 9/10: One of my favorite horror films and an overlooked and underrated gem of the slasher genre. This may seem like a Friday The 13th rip-off but the filmmakers had this idea in 1979 before F13 was released and was written before F13, this one stars Jason Alexandre (with a head full of hair) and Holly Hunter with Fisher Stevens with excellent make-up/gore effects by Tom Savini. It tells the story of a mean prank done to a cruel abusive camp counselor that has scared him from burning as it took 5 years for skin repair graph as it has left him twisted/disfigured as he goes back to the camp site to get his revenge on campers. I remembered when i was 6 years old renting this movie on video and thought it was scary as hell, the film looks and sounds fine on blu-ray as i've been buying every one of Scream Factory's cool BDs to cult, sci-fi, horror and thriller films.

Ninja III The Dominion on BD 7/10: Scream factory has done it and finally brought this 1984 supernatural horror/martial arts/action mix on blu-ray/DVD combo for the first time. It's a fun horror/martial arts combo with the lovely Lucinda Dickey (oh man she is gorgeous in this movie) who is an aerobics instructor possessed by a ninja spirit as there is a ninja who must do everything to exorcise the spirit out of her body. Has memorable moments like crushing 8-Balls to the unforgettable V8 Juice scene, i saw this on video as a kid and enjoyed it and now it looks stunning including great sound quality that Scream Factory did.

Jurassic Park on BD 10/10: One of the perfect summer films ever! i saw this movie in theater 5 times even at Universal Studios when i was 12 and i had t-shirts, cards, a few figures, comics and Mcdonalds cups. It was an experience on the big screen i'll never forget, Spielberg and company did an exellcent picture quality job that you think it was filmed in 2009.

Batman 1989 on BD 10/10: Quality blu-ray on picture and sound and looks and sounds great for a 1989 film. I remembered seeing this movie 6 times in theaters when i was 8 and i had nearly all the merchandise from cards, Taco bell cups, t-shirts, cards, lunchbox and all that. I even ate the cereal and i had both the film on VHS with the NES game for christmas that year, this is the film that made me a Batman fan in the first place thanks to this. Kim Basinger was fine in this movie as Vickey Vale.

John Carpenter's The Thing on BD: AWESOME Sci-fi horror film that looks breathtaking on HD, this along with Psycho and Creepshow on Video i rented and seeing Fright Night in theaters when i was 4 made me a horror fan and one of those films that made me a sci-fi fan as well. This movie is a true masterpiece of horror and science fiction together, i also say it's the quintessential more faithful adaptation of John Campbell's Who Goes There.

I love Scream Factory. They are releasing a lot of crappy horror films/sequels as well as good ones though. I guess that's a good thing for some because they are movies that most studios wouldn't have bothered to spend the time on to upgrade them to Blu-ray. I preordered The Howling, Day of the Dead, Lifeforce and The Fog so far. Their covers are great too!

Crash (1996) 6/10- Love the idea but the execution was lacking.

Yeah, I can't believe how good those special effects still look. It's amazing, honestly.

In retrospect it's kind of a warning about Allen's future behavior, isn't it?
Yeah. That whole ordeal makes Manhattan even weirder in retrospect. And then there's those few seconds of Hannah and Her Sisters where you see Soon-Yi Previn as a kid.

Silent Hill Revelation: 7.5/10

I liked this one more than I thought I would. Most of the monsters looked great and the bit with Pyramid Head and Metatron didn't seem to rely overly on CG, so both creatures felt solid. The film also made good use of the R-rating, which was something that the first one did that I liked there, too. The plot was solid and I like the set-up at the end. If it is, indeed, a set up. Could work either way, really.

My dislikes: there was one scene with cannibals in what looked like clown paint. It was silly and not needed. There were also a few jump scares clustered at the beginning that felt extraneous. The games didn't rely on them, nor did the first movie. One of the monsters-a spidery mannequin thing- was obviously CG, and could've been cut.

A very solid sequel to the first film, which I wasn't expecting since Gans didn't return.

Little Orphan Annie meets that Bioshcok videogame, filmed as a music video. It's ambitious in concept and has some great visuals, but only some of it works. 6/10

Superman Returns. I still enjoy it :o

Can't wait for Man of Steel, though

Star Trek Into Darkness (2013)

Dracula (1979)

The Dark Knight Trilogy
(with friends and family)
10/10 forever!

Oz The Great and Powerful. Had some ok parts but overall just stupid.

DMT: The Spirit Molecule. Amazing documentary, loved it.

The Singularity is Near. Another documentary that I just absolutely loved.

Jack the Giant Slayer. Now this was a fun movie. Wasn't expecting to like it nearly as much as I am

Django Unchained (2012)

A notch below Kill Bill for me. It drags a little IMHO. I do think Leo or Jackson should've gotten the Oscar instead of Waltz, but that's a testament to the performances in the film on the whole.

Bullet to the Head (2013)

Lesser Walter Hill, but still it's Walter Hill, he films a shootout like the boss he is. I do think the film needed one more pass in the editing suite. It meanders a lot.
