Fast and Furious 6 - 3.5/5

High octane, car destroying, fist flying dumb fun for a couple of hours. Doesn't match up to its predecessor Fast Five but still manages to be a fun film that you can laugh about (and question depending on how much you can take, such as the longest runway in the world).

A Clockwork Orange - 4/5

Really am quite pleased that I finally had the chance to watch this fantastic film. Probably around the top of my favourite Kubrick films. Very tempted to give it a 4.5/5 but something is holding me back at the moment. Malcom McDowell is flawless as Alex DeLarge and the film is layered with interesting themes, ideas and concepts.

"Behind the Planet of the Apes" (1998). A nice 2 hour documentary about the movie and its four sequels/prequels, host by Roddy McDowell (who performed the parts of Cornelius and his son, Caesar). Very good.

Excellent doc.

Behind the Candelabra

Not very familiar with Liberace, or the book this film was based on, but I felt the film was well made, with Damon and Douglas being superb in their roles.

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns - Part 2

The Purge

It has a interesting concept I'll give you that, but the logic of it all didn't add up. You can see the point the movie was trying to make but the ridiculousness made it more of a fun/dumb horror movie. This is a movie you can definitely see the rifftrax guys make fun of and have a blast with.

Now You See Me

A movie that tries to be like Ocean's Eleven but the movie never follows through. They bog down on the cops side of it instead of having the full main attention on the magicians. The twist or reveal was nothing more than a "oh so...ok I guess" moment for me.

Now You See Me wasn't great by any means but my wife and I thought it was a pretty fun film. I don't get all the hate it's been receiving. I get the surprise at the end was a bit out there but I still found it kind of cool.

Last movie watched...

Yeah there was some fun parts and I can see people enjoying the movie but it didn't do it to me. I love the cast however.

I'm pretty sure that's why I liked it as much as I did.

Silent Hill. Still a great horror film. I really enjoy how the director and writer took the concept of the town and tailored monsters to fit the characters rather than just dumping stuff wholesale from the game into the film.

Snitch (2013)

A really solid drama film. A decent film, but it's hard to separate the actor from the character he's playing, when it's Dwayne Johnson playing a milquetoast suburban dad.

A quality animated adaption of Millers seminal classic which was always a bit overstuffed with on the nose political POV and satire. Some of the action is poorly executed but the voice cast is good with Emmerson's Joker a brilliantly judged stand-out. 8/10

Indiana Jones & The Temple of Doom (1984)

7/10-Aside from being an obvious Jaws ripoff there are some pretty good things about the film.

Now You See Me

A great and likeable cast are coupled with a good and witty script, but when the film crawls through its
last 20 minutes and final twist ,i left the theatre wondering if i had been tricked or treated.
Like a fun car ride until you reach your destination.
Scale of 1-10 a 7½
