7.5/10-Great animation, pretty good story and good action but overall not as impressed as I had hoped.


8/10-Solid fun mindless and stylish noir, like said a few pages back this felt like a very gory pulp comic come to life. Leave your plot expectations at the door and just enjoy the ride, and watch some amazing actors have a lot of fun. I loved it


7/10-Had a lot going on for it, but I felt it didn't know if it wanted to be a "smart man's" film or just a run of the mill action thriller. With a lot more thought on the script this could've been the start to a great new franchise.

I kind of felt the same way, but I'm not sure the twist would have been as shocking now as it was in the early 90s, when there weren't as many movies that dealt with [blackout]transgender themes[/blackout]. I was surprised, though, that the twist [blackout]was in the middle of the movie; prior to seeing it, I thought the twist was at the end[/blackout].
