Edge of Tomorrow

The stop and rewind life theme has been used in films and T.V shows before most effectively and entertaining in films like
Deja Vu and Groundhog Day.Director Doug Liman and writers Christopher McQuarrie, Jez Butterworth, and
John-Henry Butterworth must think the same of the aformentioned films because they borrow a bit from the films and have
a cool nod to Groundhog Day in Edge of Tomorrow.

Tom Cruise portrays Major William Cage a military PR officer who jumps from news talk show to news talk show insuring the world
that the war against aliens called Mimics can be beaten, and uses Rita Vrataski,(Emily Blunt) the "Angel of Verdun" as the strong ,courageous
symbol that will help the world win the battle. When Cage is told that he is being sent to the battle front of Operation Downfall,on the
beaches of France,he balks at the assignment and attempts to blackmail his way out of it.He is soon labeled a deserter ,tazed and awakens
at the area of deploy, now a private who is unskilled in battle. The battle is futile, and in the battle Cage is infected with alien DNA,that brings him back to life over and over again, and the fun begins.

Cruise is great playing against type as a coward and pokes fun at his own bravura in previous action films. Blunt is great as the ballsy heroine Vrataski, reminding me of Ripley from The Alien, films(come to think of it EOT,borrows a bit from those films too)
Bill Paxton is also quite good as the talky Master Sergeant Farell.

The 3D effects are put to good use particularly in a descending, spiraling, aerial shot.
The SFX are great and so is the action.
There are a few plot holes and the screenplay skips over a few quick fixes, but the film never loses its balance.Blending in the right amount of
action, humor and heart.Everything a Summer blockbuster should be.

A Million Ways to Die in the West

Definitely not as funny as Ted but AMWTDITW has some extremely funny and laugh out loud moments.
Not every joke works but when it does i couldnt hold back my laughter. It's about 20 minutes to long but i found it to be very entertaining.Oh and thumbs up to Michael Barrett for his incredible Cinematography.

A Good Day to Die Hard

Not a bad action movie, but certainly not a Die Hard movie. The ending was awful too. 4.5/10

Cuban Fury

Thought I'd give this a shot due to the cast and it wasn't too bad, but was lacking in the laugh out loud department. Could have been better. 6.5/10

Synecdoche, New York
Knocked Up
Ghostbusters
The Cabin in the Woods

Serenity - 9/10

Loved the TV series and loved this movie. It's too bad it got cancelled. Watching this movie though really has me intrigued on what Joss Whedon has in store for us with Avengers: Age Of Ultron.

Star Trek Into Darkness

Nuit Blanche (Sleepless Night)

Nitro Circus: The Movie

The Devil's Brigade

Havent had a chance to see it yet, even tho Im a very big fan of the diehard series. The 4th left such a bad taste in my mouth that Im not willing to watch the slow and painful death of the franchise any further, so I decided not to even watch that one.

Godzilla_Movie_DVDs_-_TOHO_GODZILLA_COLLECTION_Godzilla_Tokyo_S.O.S._and_Godzilla_Final_Wars_-Sony-.png

I recently bought this double feature. I first watched final wars, it was a fun watch but the story wasn't very good. even though everyone knows that they use men in rubber suits for the monster effects, it was very obvious that it was simply just people in costumes instead of monsters. whereas in Tokyo sos, the monster effects actually looked pretty convincing and it had a better story that wasn't as ridiculous as final wars.

ASM2. The villain choice was odd, but I loved the Spider-Man costume. They finally got the eyes right!

Kick-Ass 2 (2013): As a big fan of the first Kick-Ass movie, I can easily say that this one definitely falls short on every level possible. I wouldn't call this a good movie, and there are a lot of jokes that fall flat (the "sick stick" and the attempted rape scene, especially), but it's one of those movies that's entertaining if you turn your brain off for a little while.

That said, I feel like the movie could have been so much better if Jim Carrey had been in it much longer. The movie was lacking something without Nic Cage, and Jim Carrey did such a good job with what little he had to work with that I feel that he could have been a fine replacement for Nic Cage. I also wanted John Leguizamo to be in the movie much longer as well, since he had great chemistry with Christopher Mintz-Plasse.

I still maintain that both Kick-Ass movies are far superior to the comic books, though. I feel that most of the problems I have with Kick-Ass 2 are because of the source material. I was pleasantly surprised with the first Kick-Ass movie, because I went in with low expectations (because I didn't care for the comic book), and the first movie pretty much fixed the problems I had with the comic. Kick-Ass 2 fixes some problems I had with the comic, but ultimately the whole movie is weighed down because of the source material, in my opinion.

I've never heard of this movie. I really want to give it a chance, because I absolutely love the cast.

I just watched the trailer, and the movie looks cute and completely harmless. I'll check it out sometime in the future. :)

Why are you two being punished?

Why are you using an old tired lame joke?,I have both movies in my dvd collection and I watched the first one a few days ago and so just watching this one

Because it's an old tired lame movie? I really liked the first movie but the second one was literally a walk-on-a-thon of characters who died almost as quickly as they appeared. The movie was terrible.
