Nice, I wish I had seen it in Imax 3D. So many beautiful scenes.

Dr strange:

Boring up till the end

Noah:

Felt like a Ridley Scott film. Kinda more of a historical fantasy film I guess

Transcendence:

Actually liked this. Could have been a lot better than just entering plain old techno thriller territory but I still loved it just based solely in the subject matter. I still want stuff like that to actually happen though lol

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014)-9.5/10

Despite moments of expositional dialogue, this is an absolutely amazing sequel. Truly The Dark Knight to Rise of the Planet of the Apes' Batman Begins. MIGHT be my favorite movie of the summer.

Breaking the Girls

Absolute Power

Funny Farm

Spies Like Us

Extreme Prejudice

Been watching a lot of low budget and independent horror movies lately, as well as some other films. For those people into those movies, check some of these out:

Compliance - Interesting movie, good take on the idea of what people are willing to do when they're told to by someone they believe to be a person of authority. If you just watch the movie without thinking, you'll think it's stupid and the people involved are absolute nitwits. If you watch the movie with an open mind and understand their position, you get a completely different take on it.

Evidence - A unique take on the found footage genre. It's a good mix of traditional film and found footage. I would recommend checking it out if you like those style films.

The Frankenstein Theory - Another found footage film. Not the best film, but definitely creative and well-thought out.

[REC] - The original, Spanish version of Quarantine. Honestly, it's virtually the same film, with the exception of the ending and cause of the outbreak. I don't know which cause I like better, but the movie is great.

Home Movie - VERY weird movie. Bizarre kids, a rocky marriage, house in the middle of nowhere and Adrian Pasdar as an alcoholic priest... Yeah, check this one out. Another found footage movie.

Haunt - Interesting film. Not amazing, but definitely worth checking out.

That's it for now, off memory.

Noah. Think I preferred the first half more. It's a little bizarre but kinda watchable.

Deliver Us from Evil

I guess it was alright, pretty generic...and kinda laughable at times. I mean, who can buy Olivia Munn as a concerned mother/wife? :o Eric Bana and Joel McHale were decent, the plot however just is kinda there. It needed a lot more focus.

Transformers: Age of Extinction

LlF8shu.gif

Just another Transformers movie that only cares about explosions. I think Michael Bay is the John Cena of movie directors...he's full aware of the sh** he makes yet uses the hate as a good thing. There's no need for this being 3 hours long, even Martin Scorsese would say "God damn Michael Bay, cut your sh** shorter!" The story became so ridiculous that it became boring for me. I almost fell asleep a couple of times during the action scenes...DURING THE ACTION SCENES. I think I wasn't only one who noticed but Bay seems to like Prometheus, Pacific Rim and a couple other films so much he wanted to do his own rendition of it. Oh well, it's a mess of a film and the only thing I could give it was the action scenes that didn't almost put me to sleep and Mark Wahlberg and Stanley Tucci. Thankfully I didn't pay for this.

That Awkward Moment

I guess it was decent. I was surprise there wasn't a whole lot of laughs in it or trying to make it over the top goofy. It was a subtle romcom. Efron was good, Michael B Jordon was good, and Miles Teller was doing his best Shia Labeouf impersonation.

:funny:

In the movie 21 & Over he does his best Jonah Hill(from Superbad) impersonation.
