Good People

As dull and clichéd as they come. 5/10

Sucker Punch

Man, why I do that to myself? I remember actually digging it when it came out and aside from its cool visuals, which were still somehow boring, I did not hav a fun time and was buried in my phone most of the time tbqh.

Suspiria

On a technical side, it's a brilliant horror film. The camera work, the lighting, the sets, and especially that haunting score, it really works. If I ever want to know what hell sounds like, I would listen to that score. However, I know it's a very old horror flick, but acting wise is kinda cheesy. Overall it's pretty decent.
7/10

31 Days of Horror Marathon
Day 1: The Night Flier - 8.5/10
Day 2: John Carpenter's Body Bags - 6/10
Day 3: Annabelle - 4/10
Day 4: Resolution - 7/10
Day 5: Suspiria - 7/10

The Last Mimzy

Still think this is like the best kid's movie ever.

Stepped away from the Halloween marathon to watch Knowing. That ending dragged on for so damn long, I couldn't stand it. At least I know never watch it again.

Gone Girl. 9/10

Rosamund Pike should be getting a nomination for best actress for this role.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For

Nowhere near as good as the first, they might as well have made Josh Brolin a different character than Dwight. There really wasn't much point to that. JGL's role was cool as Hell but amounts to basically nothing.

Lucy

This movie was awesome! I loved how trippy this got! I don't even care about the shoddy psuedoscience it was nuthin but fun. I love Scarlet Johannsen

GONE GIRL

Gone Girl is as much about the deterioration of a once charming and loving marriage as it is a missing person mystery.
How much does one really know about the person that shares their bed? Where did the loving person go that once shared dreams, and aspirations?
Those questions become part of the daily lives of Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck)and his wife Amy ( Rosamund Pike) after life altering losses, passings, the economy and burdening responsibilities alter their wedded bliss.

Nick(excellently portrayed by Affleck) is bogged down by all the aforementioned and looks as bleaks as he feels. His wife Amy has
become part of his bleak outlook.Amy(Pike perfectly playing both sides of the coin) can feel the love has faded and chafes at the pace and people of the small town they have moved to.On the day of their fifth wedding anniversary Amy goes missing and evidence mounts towards
Nick's possible involvement.

I loved how the film plays with the fact of how one may think they know everything about their spouse but there is so much more occuring right under their noses.Director David Fincher doesn't tip toe around how bleak marriage can become ,or how the media can lift you up one day and the very next day destroy you.
Tyler Perry is very good as Nick's oily lawyer Tanner Bolt, trying to put up walls for Nick against the onslaught of the police and media.
Carrie Coon as Margo Dunne, Nick's twin sister is also quite good providing humor in a very dark story.
It was hard for me to read Neil Patrick Harris as Desi Collings, Amy's ex-boyfriend ,wasnt quite sure what path he was going down so that added to the suspense.

The ups and extremely dark turns of Nick and Amy's marriage are coupled with a mesmerizing and haunting score by Trent Reznor announced and Atticus Ross.
Some of the audience may not go along with a twist in the film's second act ,but all one has to do is watch a few Dateline NBC marriage gone wrong episodes and they would definitely say yeah it could happen.

Though i did feel the ending could have used some tweaking and i was hoping for a more involving resolution,Gone Girl is a very good film that im looking forward to buying on Blu-ray.

Scale of 1-10 an 8½
