Rocky (1976)

The character's influence and reputation and tropes have in no way diluted how much of a masterpiece this film is. It's got nothing to do with boxing. This could easily be about Rokcy trying to open a bar or graduate school. It's a slice of life film. It's about Rocky, it's about Adrian, it's about Paulie and how they live in 70's Philly. A beautiful film.

Hurt Locker. Hadn't watched it since it came out in 2009.

Such a flipping awesome movie. A little more hollywood than I remember with some cheesy one-liners here and there, but really great.

Hawkeye, Wasp, Falcon, and Mandarin are all in it too haha.

Locke

Tom Hardy in a car and talking on the phone for 80 something minutes.

Good film. A solid 7.

Spy (2015) - ★★

So Paul Feig is directing the new Ghostbusters? Yeesh...

John Wick. Regret not seeing this in theaters.

About to watch MockingJay part two.

LEGEND (1986)
Cast: Mia Sara, Tom Cruise.
Director: Ridley Scott

I still love this movie

Creed
Excellent, absolutely amazing. I love the Rocky movies, and this is such a worthy addition to the whole franchise.

Rewatched the Rocky series to gear up for Creed.

Rocky - great, of course.
Rocky II - good, but the middle was pretty slow and I wasn't a fan of the Adrian subplot.
Rocky III - very entertaining, personal favorite final boxing match, although I missed the character development and depth of the first two.
Rocky IV - cheesy fun, although some stupid moments and the ending's a bit flat.
Rocky V - really quite terrible, every story decision made is handled in the worst way.
Rocky Balboa - much better than the previous entry, more graceful continuation from 4, and would have been a good ending to the series.

I'm interested to see this latest installment.

Rocky II (1979)

Just a frog's hair under the first one in terms of quality. It slows down a little too much but it's extremely telling that iconic quotes and moments people associate with the first one actually appear in II.

Bicentennial Man (1999)
Cast: Robin Williams, Sam Neill and Embeth Davidtz
Director: Chris Columbus

Bicentennial Man (1999)

still one of my all time fave films I loved everything from it from Williams, the story, the visuals (that robot costume still holds up), and great music by the late great James Horner.

Short Circuit (1986)

The Flame & The Arrow (1950)
