Trashed this film when I saw the trailer so I stand corrected. Very enjoyable throughout and a solid 8/10

^A classic example of a film with really bad trailers that turns out to be good

Salesman (the documentary, not the Iranian film).

Great and really depressing.

Cloud Atlas and The Hills Have Eyes(1977)

Both quality films.

Paddington 2

Incredibly delightful. I never got to see the original, but this is one of those sequels that could have been a lazy cash grab, but they put together a very noncynical funny and heartwarming film that people don't make anymore. At times it's really well animated. You follow Paddington around trying to buy a pop up book for Aunt Lucy's birthday and then he gets framed for a crime and goes to prison. From there it's a lot of fun hi-jinks and genuine moments between Paddington, the jail, and the family where he's staying with. I don't think you'll ever see Hugh Grant have so much fun in a movie. And the final act it all comes together very nicely. Overall, it's a genuine movie that deserves all the praise it gets and it's one of those where if you hate it then there is something severely wrong with you.
9.5/10

Professor Marston and the Wonder Women

It's a very standard bio pic on William Marston who created Wonder Woman. It goes into his life as a professor and his wife and his eventual mistress. I do think they got a talented cast for the job (Luke Evans, Rebecca Hall, and Bella Heathcote were good), but the story and dialogue was very basic. The movie goes through the motions about creating Wonder Woman and his studies about human behavior that goes into his kinks. Once it got through the first hour I was getting kinda bored by it. Overall, it's a basic bio pic that doesn't do anything new or special.
6.5/10

Panic Room - Pretty tense thriller with some good performances. Probably Fincher's worse, sans Alien3 of course, but I enjoyed it. - 7 / 10

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017)
All the Money in the World (2017)
The Greatest Showman (2017)
The Death of Stalin (2017)

David Bowie the last five years.

Hacksaw Ridge

I really enjoyed it.

BRIMSTONE (2016)

Saw where I stopped last time, and I have neither love nor hate for it, but it is an interesting experiment of a film to say the least. I feel that the movie is somewhat underrated.

One question this movie made me ask is this; "What does someone call the stepchild of his/her offspring?"

The Disaster Artist.

Highly enjoyable, James Franco did a great job in this portraying.
