Brawl in Cell Block 99 - Wow! ****ing Intense. Very good film too. - 8 / 10

Batman & Robin 5/10

I turned it off halfway through, I couldn't take it. I remembered this movie being bad, but not boring. Yeah the jokes are too much, but at least they recognize the goofiness of it. Whenever the drama kicks in I get so bored, and couldn't care. The whole Alfred/Batgirl stuff should've been removed, it brings the movie down.

Though I will say, I do think Batman/Robin stuff is actually interesting, I just wish they spent more time with it because I enjoyed watching them together. Probably the only good aspect of the movie.

It really was one giant toy commercial.
It’s a movie for the COLD hearted.

Madeleine Stowe is stunning but this film has not aged well at all, Dreyfuss' peeper cop routine isn't funny and kills the "romance" aspect of this barely funny, awkward blend of rom com and thriller. 4/10

THE KING AND I (1956)
Quality = 9/10
Joy = 8/10

Yul Brenner looks convincing as someone from Thailand. Theater play drags a bit, but seeing the king's reaction is funny.
I still have that issue of not feeling very comfortable while viewing movies from the 1960s and older, that's why the joy scale is a bit down for me.

The animated movie with seas monsters defeated by Anna and the crew singing is obviously a better movie. :oldrazz:

Frost/Nixon. Rewatch, it's in my top 20 of all time. Just brilliant and what a shame Kevin Bacon and the whole ensemble didn't get more love, everyone is amazing

The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected)

I enjoyed it. I'm usually not a fan of Noah Baumbach's work, but here it clicked. It's basically a slice of life story that revolves around a privilege family from NY who's grown up trying to fix old problems. There's some great dialogue between the cast and there's a lot of funny moments thought. Big thing about this movie is this is the best Adam Sandler has been in years... probably since Punch Drunk Love. You really wish Sandler would continue doing projects like this. Dustin Hoffman was also great in this which he hasn't been in awhile. As much as I enjoyed this, the runtime was a bit too long for a movie like this. I feel like this would have worked a lot better as a Netflix show rather than a movie. Overall though it's pretty good.

The Florida Project

What an incredible film. It's a movie that shows you a portrait of the low-income American life that most often times gets ignored. Sean Baker did a phenomenal job on giving the movie a great style that is full of pastels and color. You rarely see kids acting like real kids in movies, but this was able get it so right. Brooklynn Prince and the other kids with her were great especially as first time actors. Bria Vinaite who plays the mom was also great even if you can't the character. Willem Dafoe was super charming and nice which is almost scary to see. The movie overall is both heartwarming and tragic at the same time and Sean Baker was able to balance it just right.
