Phantom Thread. Aside from the whacked out ending, really good.

The 15:17 to Paris

Good movie. I like how Clint Eastwood gets the three heroes to play themselves in the movie.

Consider they are not professional actors, they act pretty well in the movie.

Since they are playing themselves, we get to witness a more accurate retelling of what actually happen in the train.

The world needs more people like Spencer Stone, Alex Skarlatos and Anthony Sadler.

MEN IN BLACK II
Quality = 3/10
Joy = 6/10

Villain wants to save the world so she invades MiB central, but nope, that's not what she really wants. The villainess of the movie makes no sense in motivation.

Did you know that a guy wanted to rape her on the beach immediately after seeing a small worm grow to a woman size within his field of vision? She eats him and poops him.

Post office Kevin is neat. The language 'J' spoke in the post office is some gibberish Will Smith made to apologize to Ashley in an episode of Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

The effects are a major downgrade after the first movie, and the theme song is not as good.

Yeah MIB II is terrible. I remember how disappointed I was. I only saw that movie once. Luckily MIB III was actually good.
I loved MIB 3 on first view, hope to love it now.

Fun trivia: Every MIB movie has one character from Marvel's Netflix shows.
Another fun trivia: Rosario Dawson played love interest to both Will Smith and Mike Colter, and Luke Cage is Deadshot's dad in MIB 3.

The Straight Story - 9/10

One of Lynch's best.

Joe - 9/10

One of Nic Cage's best performances. Great film. I can see Green directing Halloween from this.

IT...man...what a great movie. It scared the hell out of me and my fiancee. It became a bit generic at the end, but I haven't been that scared by a movie IN A LONG TIME.

Wants to be a Hitchcock movie but has to settle for being an OK melodramatic thriller. 6/10

Get Out (Rewatch) - 9 / 10

The Great Wall - Visually it's mostly gorgeous (as to be expected), there's a decent Chinese mythology around it,*and the last act is very enjoyable, but it's also quite talky at points. Damon seems a bit out of place at points too, but he's not bad. A mixed bag. - 6 / 10

The Light Between Oceans

Just as haunting and heartbreaking as Cianfrance's previous films.

9/10
