I give it 7.2 out of 12 Parsecs

Blade Runner 2049

I liked it but not enough for repeated viewings. Once was enough. At least for now.

6 Balloons. Was very raw and touching story. I haven’t really liked many Netflix films but this one was good

Birdboy: The Forgotten Children - 7.5/10
The animation is gorgeous and the world is engaging and unique enough to mostly overshadow the overabundance of characters and the repetitive plot that is a little too stretched out to fit the length of a feature film.

It's visually pretty cool but everything else is vapid and hammy. 5/10

In fairness, to me, the book is too, I know its held as this example of American literature greats but it is a story devoid of depth in it's narrative, glossy & false, but that's the point, it's representative of the feeling of 'release' in the time of history it's set.

Pulled a Redbox triple feature last night.

Red Sparrow 6.5/10
Annihilation 8.5/10
Game Night 7.5/10

Gringo (2018)
Police Academy (1984)
Police Academy 2: Their First Assignment (1985)

I've never read the book but I get what you mean, however I didn't feel the film really relayed that very well.
