THOR: RAGNAROK
Quality = 9/10
Joy = 10/10

Aside from the repetition of the rotating hanging Thor telling Surtur to wait joke being done twice in a row, I have no issues with this movie.

Thor performed a psycho crusher in the climax battle, that's why I use this for my rating of this movie.

I'll miss Mjolnir.

How I rate them as far as joy goes this turn:
  1. Thor: Ragnarok ------------------------ 5/5 Lightning Psycho crushers
  2. Captain America: The Winter Soldier - 5/5 Shields
  3. Captain America: The First Avenger -- 5/5 Shields
  4. The Incredible Hulk -------------------- 5/5 Gamma smashes
  5. Iron Man 3 ----------------------------- 5/5 Shellheads
  6. The Avengers -------------------------- 5/5 Shawarma
  7. Ant-Man -------------------------------- 4.75/5 Anthony
  8. Iron Man 2 ----------------------------- 4.75/5 Shellheads
  9. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 ------------ 4.75/5 Mix Tapes
  10. Iron Man ------------------------------- 4.5/5 Shellheads
  11. Captain America: Civil War ----------- 4.25/5 Shields
  12. Thor ------------------------------------ 4/5 Mjolnirs
  13. Avengers: Age of Ultron -------------- 4/5 Language
  14. Spider-Man: Homecoming ------------ 4/5 A Thief, A Menace
  15. Doctor Strange ------------------------ 3.75/5 Sorcerer Supreme tears
  16. Guardians of the Galaxy--------------- 3.5/5 mix tapes
  17. Thor: The Dark World------------------ 2.8/5 Mjolnirs

Stan Lee cameos:
  1. Iron Man: Hugh Hefner. in the party Tony danced with Pepper in.
  2. The Incredible Hulk: Gamma blood victim.
  3. Iron Man 2: Larry King. Somewhere after the hearing I think.
  4. Thor: Trucker trying to lift Mjolnir with his pick up truck.

  12. Ant-Man: Bartender we see near the end and don't hear his voice.

REVENGE

After being assaulted by 3 men,a young woman sets out to get....REVENGE !!

I was pulled in by the first frame of this film, and mesmerized until it's last.
Matilda Lutz as Jennifer is absolutely incredible in this role.It is a complete transformation of a character i saw one way,but as the film goes on and her plight plays out and her look changes my opinion of her did a complete about face.
Jennifer attempts to keep one step ahead of and hunt down the 3 men: Kevin Janssens as Richard
Vincent Colombe as Stanley and Guillaume Bouchède as Dimitri who are a combination of intimidation, brutality, and buffoonery. They were as much fun to watch as Lutz.

The film is absolutely stunningly shot.Thank you Cinematographer Robrecht Heyvaert
Director Coralie Fargeat pulls out all the stops to put the audience in Jennifer's shoes...well bare feet, with trippy visuals coupled with a pulsating score by Rob.
This is a film with scenes that dwell on violence and gore definitely not for the faint of heart.

There are a few predictable moments, and some scenes of violence are over the top, almost reaching Kill Bill levels.

Still this was a mesmerizing and relentlessly involving movie.

Scale of 1-10 an 8½

BREAKING IN

Shaun Russell (Gabrielle Union) and her kids Jasmine (Ajiona Alexus) and Glover (Seth Carr)
go to her deceased and estranged father's home to pack things up and meet up with a real estate broker.Unfortunately they run afoul of 4 thieves who want something that's in the house.

This was basically a generic, cookie cutter thriller.Union gives it her all though and i actually liked the villains who are basically nervous, brutal, sadistic and try to have some type of control as they take on Shaun.
Billy Burke as Eddie is basically the control part of the quartet, and i think this is the first time ive seen Burke portray a villain .He's usually the smart, sarcastic and dependable character in various Sci Fi and Fantasy TV shows and films.

What kept me interested was on how Shaun and her kids were going to outsmart the thieves.
I actually thought it was pretty funny how they kept praising her with lines like:"She's Good","She's Smart",'WOW She's made it this far".

There are visual and makes no sense plotholes.Far to many inconsistent moments.
I've never seen a a dark closing shot linger so long before the credits...hilarious.

Scale of 1-10 a 5

SIDENOTE:

While watching Union in the film i really think she would be perfect as the new 2018 Kick Ass in Image comics...if they ever make a movie based on it.

Ghost in the Shell

Never read the stories. The movie was style over substance.
