The Avengers (the Marvel one, not the crap remake of the 60s show lol)

Whilst I still think the film is enjoyable, it's not as good as the first time I watched it. I was a little bored with some parts of it tbh. But still a cracking action film :)

Part 4 gets a solid 7.5 out of 10. Not quite as good as the first three films, but a very strong film on its own merit.

Part 5 gets a 6 out of 10. Highly underrated by most horror fans.

Kick-Ass

The Amazing Spiderman. Even better the second time around.

Cloud Atlas - 9/10

A second time. And it's even better and it even moves faster.

The Godfather Part III - 9/10

It seems to me the only reasons this gets so hated is because it's not as good as the other two and because of Sophia Coppola. Well, it's not as good as the other two and Sophia Coppola isn't very good, but get the greatness of the first two our of your head, and if you just look at this one, the rest of the film is pretty damn great. I've always been content with Michael sitting in his chair at the end of Part II contemplating on what he did as the last image of his story. But you know what? I loved seeing Michael as an older man who tries to redeem himself but no matter how he tries everyone and everything around him doesn't make that possible. Seeing a wiser, more patient Michael who occasionally has his younger explosive moments are just wonderful to see. Pacino is excellent. Just seeing the latter part of his life is just fascinating. Especially with the people he surrounds himself with. Some of the best scenes are with him and Diane Keaton. It's just really sad to see a man who was so powerful and once evil so vulnerable and falling apart while he tries his best to want a normal life. It's a very compelling character arc. Interestingly enough, all three films show Michael with a terrific character arc. So does Michael finally redeem himself at the end? In a way perhaps. But really, I kind of see it as he will never be able to redeem himself. Losing his daughter was the ultimate price. So as he died alone, he may have been redeemed, but was he happy?

Road House

Hadn't seen it in awhile, and I saw it coming on HBO, so .... yeah. Now I can't get the Jeff Healey Band's version of 'When the night comes falling from the sky' out of my head.

The Bay

Another found footage film that takes the epidemic plot from Contagion and put little horror spin to it on a smaller location. For what it was, I enjoyed it. Once it kicks into the final few scenes it gets really intense, there's a lot of sh** happening all at once. Some parts I didn't care for and it slowed the film down a bit.
7.5/10

The Watch

A comedy that tried way too hard to be funny by swearing every 5 mins (and that's coming from a guy who loves vulgar humor). A lot of the jokes didn't work for me and the plot could've been better if they just stick to reality and not scifi plots.
5/10

Take Me Home Tonight 8/10
Argo 10/10

Casino Royale- 10/10

About to go watch Quantum, now frakin bring on Skyfall.

3.5/5

I liked it but it could have been better. I was sick of that candy land ******** about 10 minutes in.

Howard the Duck (1986)
It's about as entertaining as watching a video of a dog taking a leak, if not for the glider scene the dog video makes for better entertainment

Watchmen

Better than I remember it, but too many critical flaws for me to love it or consider it "great".

3/5
