Aguirre, The Wrath of God (1972).

I've only seen glimpses of this remarkable flick on the telly as a kid, and finally I made sure to watch it. It's a really interesting story telling the mad mission about a large group of conquistadors (including native slaves, and a couple of female close relatives) trying to find the mythical El Dorado in a world in which they're completely lost.

There's an interesting and entertaining documentary about the hate/love relationship between Werner Herzog and Klaus Kinski which I also recommend (Mein Liebster Fiend), and this flick certainly have some stories considering these two huge egos clashing in this situation.

The Omen (1976)

Another film I finally got around seeing, it's amazing how much it didn't aged. Gregory Peck was awesome in it as well as David Warner which took me by surprise because I didn't even know he was in it. The best parts about this film was the music and sounds, it amplified all the tension that went on.

Turns out it was pretty boring at times unfortunately. Was waiting most of the time for something actually interesting to happen and that occured few and far between (though the final shootout was pretty damn good).

Tom Hardy and Gary Oldman really stand out in their performances however. Guy Pearce was good, but way too over the top and cartoony for my liking. Shia was Shia.

Also had some great cinematography but the film really suffers with it's editing. Scenes are put together that feel pointless and a waste or time which makes you wonder when something interesting will happen. Such a shame really. Had a lot of potential. It's not a bad film though and it has some great moments.

Personally, my least favourite out of the 4 first Connery films. It shows the problems that I've grown to notice with the Bond films such as editing, pacing, story and honestly, general boredom, as well as lackluster action (though the underwater action scene is pretty cool). It does have a lot of great classic Bond moments however and Connery is perfect as Bond as always, though I think I can finally say that Daniel Craig is my favourite Bond.

Damn it! Hurry up Skyfall!
