Catch Me If You Can.

It amazes me at the list of directors Leo has been able to work with: Spielberg, Nolan, Scott, Tarantino, Cameron, Scorsese occasionally, Eastwood, Mendes.

Blade Runner.

And immediately thereafter, Kazaam.

It was a good night.

X2 is awesome!

Last movie I watched = (500) Days of Summer, 9/10

4.5/5

This movie perfectly gets down to why the internet kind of sucks. It's brought forth a bunch of fanboy critics on their fanboy sites that not only trash movies but make ridiculous comments towards the director and actors. It shows how most of them are not true journalists and it takes no talent to do what they do. That and it brings up the point, more like fact, that most of these so called new age critics do it all for attention because they're not in the industry and famous.

There is a difference between fairly reviewing a movie and being a pretentious fanboy. Sorry but in this past decade, regardless if some movies really do suck, I've taken the side of the actors and filmmakers. This new generation of critics are terrible and if I read a review now days, I stick with the older critics.

Only other thing I have to say is that Jamie Kennedy does need to grow a thicker skin and not take it so personally even though I'm sure it can be harsh.

If this were ancient Rome, he'd probably be fed to the lions for producing that travesty. :o

Session 9.

Started off as pretty typical DTV horror fare then got brilliant really quickly.

Yeah, that was the movie the critics were giving him hell for, well that and Malibu's Most Wanted. I think that's what it was called.

American Beauty.

First time I've ever seen it. It was great, but...I feel like I liked the subtext of the movie more than the movie itself.

If that makes sense.

I'll have to give this one a chance now that I've heard something positive about it. I kept passing over it on Netflix(it's currently streaming)thinking it might be another ****** modern horror film, but you make it sound like it's worth watching.

It's definitely worth checking out, Figs.
Remember though, it's pretty low budget. During the first 10 minutes, you might think: 'Is this a syfy original movie or something?' but when it gets going and the scares start, all of a sudden it turns into something special.

Thanks for the heads up. You have no idea how many times I'm in bed late at night looking for some possible new horror films streaming on netflix and I stop at this movie then think to myself, meh and move on. :funny:
