X-Men Origins: Wolverine

I started it... should I finish it? I'd like to give it a fairer rating than I did three years ago due to me only seeing the work print version, which, from memory, is no better than this. It just goes to show that finished special effects or no finished special effects, if the story sucks, then there's no saving it. Though I should watch the whole film.

But God, it's so terrible.

Whatevs. I'm just getting through this pice of **** to get to Valhalla Rising next.

The Crazies -remake-

It was actually good for a b-movie in a small town.

You should just so you can share in the pain with everyone else how ****** the movie is.

Watched The Grey earlier this evening.Dont know what to think of this movie.Ok i guess.

Do you prefer that version over the original?

I need to watch WAGES OF FEAR again....it's been about 30 years since I saw it...so hard to make a comparison with so much time between watching them.

Oh ok. You got me interested in watching the remake, plus it has Roy Scheider in it. Have you ever seen Blue Thunder?

You should have spared yourself the pain, my friend. I still can't believe one of my longest e-mail correspondent pals seriously thinks this is a good film. Not only that but he seriously thinks it's better than "The Dark Knight", the brilliance of that film being lost on him and his nostalgia issues, to say nothing of his dislike against Bale & Ledger.

You should play the Wolverine video game instead.

It's the movie...if the movie was actually good.

Let Me In.

A really great vampire movie. I love how the movie involves an entirely different type of subtext than the traditional vampirism = promiscuity line from Dracula. It really gives the movie a real...reason for existing. Which I don't feel to be the case with most vampire movies.

Secret World of Arriety

It's a magical little film, one of the better Studio Ghibli films. Even though Miyazaki didn't direct it, it has his fingerprints all over it (not surprising since he co-wrote the screenplay and helped plan the storyboards). And while Ghibli's stunning animation is always a trademark, it's even more impressive here, especially the interiors of Shawn's house, the dollhouse, and Arriety's home are just full of details and wonderful touches.

I'm not a big hardcore anime fan that always prefers to watch with the original Japanese dub with subtitles, but the English dub is well-done. Bridgit Mendler, David Henrie, and real-life married couple Will Arnett and Amy Poehler embody the characters, as opposed to sticking out like the U.S. dub for Ponyo and Howl's Moving Castle.

8/10

Even going in with low expectations I still thought this was terrible, Rogen was awful and the script was brainless and lacked any heart or humour. I don't know why they hired Cameron Diaz either, the role was so small they could have hired someone much cheaper. The only good thing about the movie was Black Beauty. 3/10

I've seen the leaked work print version, but not the final. But they're still equal in their ****tiness so far. It's even worse than I remember.

I fail to see anything brilliant about it. There's some good lines here and there but everything else is just :csad:

I've played the game. And it's MUCH better than the movie. You know a movie is bad when the video game it's based off on is better than the movie. M Rated (I'm still shocked they got away with that) awesomness.

In my X-Men marathon it is the only one left

What about Jay Chou? I liked his role
But OMG, Rogen turned the Hornet to a useless wimp

The wasted brilliance spoken of was about the Dark Knight being the lesser movie in the view of Panthro's friend

Game story dropped me how it jumps from flashback to present

The only good thing about Wolverine Origins is Wade Wilson (when he's not the weird baraka thing at the end) and Liev Schrieber's Sabertooth.

Anyway last film watched... Matchstick Men!

"Have you ever been dragged to the sidewalk and beaten till you pissed BLOOOOOOOOOOD!"

I kinda liked Green Hornet myself. It wasn't great or anything. But I'd give it a 6/10 or so.

Have you ever seen Blue Thunder?

A couple of dozen times....but it's been about 10 years or more since the last time I saw it. I bought a DVD of it a couple of months ago, it's on my list of things to watch (a very big big big list).

Ok, 17 minutes in X-Men Origins and there are big mistakes here and there
