Which Mask for Cobra Commander

I'd say both, but not sure how these would look on the big screen. I would almost find these a little on the dorky side, but it would depend on how they tinker with it. Thats right I'd say tinker with it,make some adjustments to it, make it work on big screen(darker colors, right type of materials etc..). Its all hit or miss, but /shrug.

This could work in a movie.

Only problem with that is too many balaclavas. As you can see in your example, this makes Cobra Commander almost indistinguishable from Firefly aside from the obvious color difference.

True, and then if they have Beach-head its balaclava overload. They could make the cloth hood work, but it wouldn't be just a cloth hood. They would have to do a Daredevil style molded upper face, with the hood hanging below. Which if it looks right, I wouldn't mind.

I just hope they don't get all sci-fi/alienish with Cobra Commander like they did with the animated film.

I say go with the Baron Zemo hood.
Its the easiest, most transferable to the real world, and it makes him look like a terrorist.
I'd like to see the classic Zemoesque mask in live action.

Alternatively, they can use the half-mask as a mold and stitch the cloth hood directly over it so that the top part follows the person's head more closely before tapering down below the nose.

Was never really a fan of the blue hood, give me the battle Helmet any day,

Thats what I was thinking, but it didn't come across right.

It has to be the faceplate.

The hood only works in the comics but looks really dumb in practice. Case in point this fan made video.

How come all the Baroness parts of that video seemed like they were from a porno?

If they saved us from a Spiderman that looked like this;

Then we can rest assured that they could make the hood look just as fantastic and menacing as they did in the comics.

You can't possibly predict what it could look like from a very low budget fan short. It will be the difference between 1970's T.V. Spidey and the Spidey we have today.

I'd also like them to include the battle helmet as well, and everyone will be happy. :woot:

I still wonder how he can see through the battle hood.

A two-way mirror kinda thing, I would think.

Though I remember in one of the comics they showed him taking it off and the inside was lined with all sorts of circuitry and stuff so who knows, really.

I say give him Fetts helmet!

I voted for the faceplate but, hell, I still I remember a time when Cobra Commander used to go by the name of Baron Ironblood and wore a bucket on his head.

I don't think they will use both looks... It may confuse some people...

Did people get confused when Kroenen went through 3 different masks in the movie Hellboy? As long as you show him switching his helmet/mask (from behind or something), it should be easy to follow. If people still can't follow that, then screw 'em I say. No need to cater to idiots.

I agree that he could use them all in the course of the movie. Sitting in his chair, wearing the hood, fighting in the faceplate, etc etc etc.

But I think the hood in a thin blue or black leather with the red Cobra sign would be cool. But I'm partial to reflective faceplate.

Go with the hood first, then the faceplate later on.

I'm all about the hood. Im hoping that Cobra Commander himself doesnt actually involve himself with any battles...to me a terrorist leader commands from afar and is not in any real danger himself. You dont see Osama strapping on a suicide bomb.

Not necessarily to battle, but he could wear the hood when sitting in his chair/private throne, then wear the mask if he walks around the base in "public".
