If it was decieded that there would be a sidekick in one of the Batman Begins sequels, which one should it be?

No sidekicks. None I say!

I need a combination option. I want to choose Huntress, but only when she was Batgirl or Spoiler, but only when she was Robin. :(

For this Batman sequel? No one. Later on however, I'd sorta like to see Tim Drake, and then Cassie Cain. Yeah, it sorta ****s up continuity, but those two are really the darkest of Batman's sidekicks, and I think they could really erase some of the condemnation again Batman's sidekicks.

The Robin-haters conviently forget that Robin (Dick Grayson and others) has been by Batman's side since the very beginning. Over 60 years now.Just like Alfred, Thomas/Martha Wayne, Joker, Gordon etc you can't erase and forget all those years of that character from the comics. He's an intergral part of Batman's history and should -in my opnion- be a part of Nolan's Bat films.

Perhaps, Nolan and co could take the best of all the different Robins and mold them in to one?

Also I remember that Sam Raimi (like Nolan with Robin) said he'd didn't want to have Venom in a movie. And look how that turned out. Never say never.

It all depends on the writing.

That's basically Tim Drake with the name Dick Grayson. :o

No sidekicks for now.

The only way I could see one working was to have a Robin come in and be killed by the Joker (a la Jason Todd, though for the movies, I'd prefer Dicky Grayson), and Batman would never forgive himself for what happened. He would swear to never let anyone help him again.

Yup or they could have the girl that was Robin for a while.

BAT MITE!!

He could use some of his other dimension magic and turn Nolans bland world upside down with some neon and give Bale some nipples.

I don't think Bruce Wayne has been fully established yet. We saw him as a youngster and how he became the Dark Knight, but I want to see more of Bruce Wayne 'the person,' than just a facade of Batman.

No sidekicks for the next two. Maybe if there was a fourth, I could imagine Nolan giving an aging Batman a sidekick. Yes this smacks of 'Beyond', I know, but that's the only way I could see a sidekick getting legitimate respect.

The 60's pretty much ruined the sidekick scenario and now it's just fodder for comedic gold.

I kinda agree ,but maybe in the third robin appears as a small vigilante. In the fourth batman lets him become his sidekick. Then he could become nightwing very fast such as batman did.
Like batman supplies him and hes starts much the same way as batty:batman: . then they split and its nightwing

I voted for none. For the next "Batman" there are already many characters that need screen time to be developed, such as Joker, Harvey Dent, and the other suprises up Nolan's and Goyer's sleeves. And let us not forget about Bruce/Batman and Gordon. The continuation of their stories is much more important than the introduction of a new ally. I just do not think we need to see Batman have a sidekick yet. He already has Alfred, Fox, Gordon, and soon Harvey Dent. I would like to see at least one more movie where Batman stands on his own.

My vote's for Barbara as Batgirl. I suppose one of her choices should've been Oracle?

That's actually what I want pretty much. It should be Dick Grayson's name and backstory with a personality that's a combination of current Nightwing and the Tim Drake Robin.

Tim Drake by himself would be hard to do without having a previous Robin, since his whole deal was figuring out the identity of Batman and Robin, then trying to get Robin to come back to Batman and eventually becoming Robin himself. Besides, i'd rather not muck up continuity.

Of course, there shouldn't be a sidekick at all until at least the end of the third movie, although preferrably the fourth.

You're one of the few "anti-sidekick" guys I agree with. Because you see the grey, that not a lot of people see.

You respect all of the sidekicks as characters, and don't just write them off as being campy or "gay" or stupid as many on here do. Where we differ, is the fact that I think that there should atleast be an appearance or a deffinite nod to the character's of Robin and Batgirl by the end of this trillogy. They don't even have to be in it (although I'd really prefer to atleast see Dick Grayson.).

Like have Gordon mention to Dent when they talk about how "this job" can be hell on a marraige, how its getting even harder for he and his wife now that his niece had to move in with them.

You could have a mention of Haly's Circus, or an ad for the Flying Graysons. Or at the end of movie three you could have Bruce and Selina going off on their first date, and Bruce grabs the tickets: two for Haly's Circus. Something like that.

But I see what you mean, and if there was no continuity, and if I didn't have faith in the character of Dick Grayson, I'd LOVE to see Tim Drake (mine, and many others favorite Robin). But all I really want to see in this next movie, or the next is a mention/nod to the two oldest sidekicks in Batman history.

He's colorblind, you ass.

not Ryankris again

I chose Tim Drake.
He's the only one who has discovered Bruce Wayne is Batman(which would look funny in a film) and he is the only one who has risen above the other Robin's because of his lack of experience in the beginning.
