I'd love to see them do a sequel with Brainiac & Bizarro as the villains. Brainiac being the manipulator and everything, whilst Bizarro brings on the physical threat.

From the sound of things, two possible bad guys are set up in this film.

The old rumor from JCDC seems to have been spot on...
Brainiac is set up in this film, although he is not in the usual form

And It looks like Metallo might be the other that has a set up in this.

General Zod again with Jude law

I want to see General Zod set free due to the fact that the phantom zone some how opens after the mayhem in superman returns with Lex's FOS... just an idea. and maybe Zod could have the aid of Doomsday to help him.

I could go for either Brainiac, Metallo, Parasite, or Bizzaro.

i never wanna see zod again and it is although it would be too soon to kill off superman i would love to see doomsday but since that is kinda silly i will go with anyone superman can have a superbadassbattle with bizzaro, some made up character like ty-zor i don't care just so we can have something that looked like the end of matrix revolutions but way longer

Darkseid, Brainiac, or Metallo. Though Darkseid would be a real challenge on screen.

I think Darkseid would be better for the threequel, I think he's too big for the next sequel.

I would like to see the return of "Gus Gorman" the real greatest criminal mind in the world! Oh, and since Richard is nolonger with us get Dave Chappelle to play Gus Gorman... :)

Brainiac.

I'd love to see Bizzarro and Metallo, but they are, IMO at least, more side villains than anything else.

Darkseid would be awesome to see as well, but that'd best be saved for later on in the series, I think.

I think the 2nd will be Metallo and the third Brainiac

It should be Brainiac.

Im really doubting Metallo for one major reason. The video game already explores Superman fighting and defeating Metallo....it would take too much out of the movie if Metallo is the only villian.

well you could have Metallo's body be made of an alien alloy given to Lex by brainiac as a weapon to kill Superman, and use brainiac as the fianl villain of the trilogy

Brainiac.

Because...

I want him, He is Superman's best baddie after Lex.
Darkseid is too soon.
Doomsday couldnt hold a movie on his own.
Metallo......is just Metallo.

Its not a trilogy man... Theres going to be several movies.

Id say Brainiac and Lex for the second movie.

The Darkseid/Apolalips/New Genesis story for the third.

i think it would be nice to have the braniac story next, however they would do it, whether it be the STAS method, of braniac being kryptonian and having a great deal to do with that planet's destruction or a pre-crisis-inspired tale with a brand new take (the one i'm hoping for), i think braniac and lex and MAYBE metallo (like the one guy said) because of the obvious leap in tech that it would take to put a guy's brain into a machine body with a kryptonite heart...yeah, braniac.

i'd like to see parasite done well, too, but they'd have to tweak his origin too to put him with someobdy else. who, i don;t know...who WOULD work well with parasite?

I'd have to say Brainiac and Metallo for sure. Both are my favorite Superman villains and i really think could fit well if they were in a sequel. Metallo though i don't think he'll be in the sequel manily because he's taken care of in the game. Unless they continue the Metallo Superman fight in the sequel continuing it from the game. That could work. Brainiac though is just the right choice. If in SR there was a mentioning of him or maybe a hint setting up for the sequel that would be great. I think him as the villain could serve well manily because he has something to do with Krypton and if maybe he were to fight Superman Lex would have something to do with it as well. Zod i don't think should be in a sequel. Why? He's been in the other Superman movies and to probably explain Zod in SR would be when Superman leaves it's somewhere in the Daily Planet mentioning? I don't know, but i don't really want to see him. Have Superman face a new foe. Doomsday i don't think would be great to see in a movie. Just having him beat Superman and be after him i can't see playing out in a film. Darkseid i would really like to see him but not in the sequel, i think the the right time would be in later sequels. Bizarro i think is also in the game so i don't expect to see him in a Superman movie. And Parasite again i think is one of the villains in the game but he is a villain i want to see so maybe as a secondary villain during the movie.

So defienetly Brainiac or Metallo.

i'm sorry, but that's not going to happen in ANY film. it's way too convoluted, outside superman's range, and, frankly, ridiculous to be in a serious superman film. it's a nutty story about an extra-dimensional dictator with heat vision and rock skin and flying rock monkeys for pets on a volcano planet with...i mean, come on. george lucas would have trouble putting something this OUT THERE in a star wars film, nevermind a superman movie.

and how about the logistics of the story? how does he get there? WHY? is manheim and intergang a part of it? how long IS this movie, 5, 6 hours long?

The New Gods aare too much for one movie, there will be 3 films, any more than that is too many IMO

Cool, thanks Mentok.

maybe they should do another Lex story, because hes the best, and most interesting and most well known superman villan. The other villians lack any kind of motivation, and Braniac doesnt even have a reason for hateing superman or comeing to earth. Besides superman should be able to beat metallo without even touching him, and the same would go for the other "villians".

He does have the most depth out of any of the villains in Superman's universe. I do think that Darkseid could be amazing (IF he was done right). If someone like the Parasite was set up, then I'd have Luthor also involved in the storyline somehow. If it was Doomsday, then I'd have a HUGE movie that encompasses the Death Of and Returns storylines which would make the main focus on the villainy of Henshaw (and Mongul as well if he was given his own movie setup earlier in the series). That's the only way I could see Doomsday being remotely effective onscreen in the confines of a two or three hour movie. And Luthor, Darkseid, or Henshaw would have to have a hand in creating him (and possibly controlling him) so that he'd be worthwhile. Or he'd have to be intelligent...which would kind of defeat the purpose of a berserker rampage...

...I've put way too much thought into this.:)
