Who dies? (It's called Suicide Squad for a reason)

It's a Suicide Squad tradition in almost every story and adaptation to kill off one of its members.

If anyone dies I'd bet on Captain Boomerang, though I was considering Enchantress, since she's one of the less popular characters, but the fact that she seems to be quite powerful made me settle for Boomerang.

I'd also consider Deadshot, if he wasn't played by Will Smith. Transition to villain is big enough step to him, I doubt he'd accept to die too.

Why not? Villains in these movies usually last only one movie and Deadshot isn't nearly popular enough. There's plenty of other villains that yet have to be introduced, if DC has something it is the great rogue gallery.

-Enchantress (who is way Deus-Ex powerful, potentially making the others look useless) will be sacrificed so they can all rally as a team around her.
And
-Flagg as the big noble last second sacrifice to save the others, so he can give the big "...it's always been about completing the mission!" speech.


Anyone cast now after the main cast reveal, will be fodder too.
(includes characters with just one second scenes who are there just to die.
eg. Waller blowing their heads off just to show she means business)

Agreed. But it'd be hilarious if they killed off Joker, just cause people wouldn't be expecting it. And it would totally set the tone that DC does the unexpected.

Kill the the most popular villain in the genre outside of a Batman film? Bad idea. If Joker ever dies if should be heavily connected to Batman. Besides, why must we go through the same song and dance of each Joker only appearing once and then waiting years for a recast?

No, I just want him to be part of the team.

I personally don't have to see Bane ever again. He was made for only one purpose - beating Batman and it is the only arc where his character had any significance and was interesting, after that he fell into obscurity and became a cliche barbaric villain.

And since they already did "Knightfall" in "The Dark Knight Rises", there's nothing else left to draw inspiration from for the character.

If they wouldn't let Nolan kill Bats in Rises, then Joker's probably not gonna die in SS. I was just thinking it'd be a monumental surprise. And I'd like DC to be bold. I was simply saying how I'd feel if they did kill Joker, not that they necessarily should. It would be hilarious because nobody would expect it. And it would set an interesting tone that anything could happen in DC movies. Whether that justifies doing it is of course another story. In other words, I was just spitballing and I see your points.

As for only one appearance for Joker, I get what you're saying, but I want DC to develop a great roster of villains, especially for Bats and Supes. I'd hate to see DC depend on Joker like Marvel does Loki. Not that you were saying they would or should.
