Yeah, I'm glad she turned that one down, though. Not only was Hayley perfect for the role, but if Blunt had played her, the TV show probably wouldn't be happening now.

Besides, I can't imagine going from being Black Widow, the most badass spy on SHIELD's payroll and future Avenger, to a seemingly one-time love interest role. As great as Peggy turned out to be, on paper that just doesn't seem like the most appealing proposition, imo.

Emily Blunt is my top pick, but I liked Yvonne Strahovski in 24 and Jessica Chastain is an amazing actress. Not sure how willing these big-name stars will be to sign on to multiple pictures though. Wouldn't be opposed to a lesser known signing i.e. Winnick.

^^^Of the "lesser known TV actresses" category, I prefer Strahovski and Winnick, but Torv is a great option as well. There are actually a lot of actresses on TV these days who would be good fits, imo.

Those are baffling choices. I can completely see about Charlize, but you go from one extreme to another: from an academy award-winning actress to a mere fighter/ mixed martial-artist type.

For those who don't think Blunt looks good with blondish hair, Chris Evans has brown hair but as Steve Rogers (who is blonde in the comics), his hair is lighten a bit. I think her lighter hair in Edge of Tomorrow looked good on her. If she ends up as our Carol Danvers, the same hair colour from Edge of Tomorrow would be fine on her in Captain Marvel.

I rewatched Edge of Tomorrow, and she was fricking amazing in it!! she reminded of Carol in that movie. she also looks the part too.

I think Hillary Swank would be a good choice if we are talking good academy level actors. Their was even a rumor that Swank may have showed up in the first Avengers as a Shield agent, possibly Carol Danvers.
