nah im not really into the comics but i looked at some recently though. But they dont get into the charactor as well as the shows do from what i've seen
Which is arguably one of the dumbest things to say.

No offense Jplaya, but the TV shows are actually based on the comics. The comics ussually show character development in a much better way, and a lot deeper than your average cartoon.

he doesnt understand the comics, so he watches the cartoons :)

Have you stumbled into some sort of parallel universe where Venom is somehow Spideys greatest villian and Goblin is only a "nice foil"?

nah itsn ot dum just where im coming from you know. Sometimes the tv goes into better character explanation than comics do from my experience. Liek for example in spiderman TAS kingpin is portrayed as a ruthless psychopath, a manipulator, a man who will risk his wife and son for the bettermen of "business". He was scorned as a child and the backlash followed him into adulthood. Here we have wilson fisk a man that just wants to be accepted into society but was scorned earleir.

How do they depict him in the comics???????

You can't say that the cartoon Kingpin is depicted better than the comics Kingpin if you don't read the comics. Besides, both were pretty much the same.

exactly :o

so in the comics fisk went around kidnapping people's wives, holding them as ransome cutting off his men limbs when they mess up, bench press 700lbs + had an affliction for punishment, sold his son out to the law and at the same time stop maniacs like carnage from taking over the world

Not exactly, but his son did try to kill him and take ove his empire, and acting in his place his wife killed him. Their own son. He'll kill his men if they mess up, he can bench 600lbs, and he doesn't interfere when supervillains try to take over the world.

Though he was a member of the Acts of Vengence, along with Dr. Doom, Mags, the Wizard and the Mandarin.

Yes, although it was rude of me to bring it up. You don't have to respond, and I don't expect you too. It was also off-topic, and I apologize for this.

Yeah, but since then he's tried to stay out of globe shattering consperacy. It's bad for buisness.

There was a "Spider-Man: The Animated Series" or are you getting your cartoons mixed up?

Okay, you want to know about comic Kingpin? Well, in the comics, Daredecil's girlfriend, Karen Page, became a drug addict. Desperate for a fix, she sold Daredevil's secret identity - Matt Murdock. This found it's way into the hands of none other than The Kingpin.

The Kingpin then began systematically destroying Matt Murdock's life. He blew up his home. He destroyed his career. He turned his loved ones against him. And when Murdock, with nothing to lose, tried to confront Fisk, The Kingpin beat him to within an inch of his life. Then he pumped Murdock full of drugs, and left him in an alley to die of a drugs overdose, disgraced and alone.

Did that happen in the cartoon?

anything lower than a B level villian didnt make the cut sorry
Meh, more of a humorous poke at the people who keep complaining that X didn't make the poll.

Besides, what's more evil than the one villian that Mark Gruenwald didn't regret willing off in the Scourge storylline?
