chill out..... go eat a box of triscuits or something......

I mean honestly, do you listen to yourself, go worry about something signifigent.... go fight terrorism, go give water to the homeless on a hot day... ranting about someone not knowing the detailed history of fictional comic book character.... wow, you must be a hit with the ladies

I love these kinds of posts, I really do. You have over 3000 posts on a messageboard about superheroes, so don't even try that "get out and do something significant" crap.

You really shouldn't get so offended when someone simply corrects a mistake of yours. You're the one who needs to chill out it seems.

yah, I got over 3000, what's your point, I'm on this stuff when I'm at school or work.... you notice that when 5pm central roles around, I aint on here, or the weekends...... I don't take this stuf seriously, I only take people taking this stuff seriously, seriously...

that was more then "simply" correcting, you were trying to be condasending, acting like the penguins origins are common knolwedge, I don't know much about his character, and really don't care to learn that much more. he's my least favorite of the batman comics by far....... all I know about him, is what the burton film told me....

Sal Maroni and Rupert Thorne are struggling over gaining the title of mob cheifton no that Falcone is incompasitated from the scarecrow for the time being. The Joker is a wildcard. He acts out against the mob which in turn causes a mob war. The Joker and the batman have their run ins as well. ROman Sionis will be attacking Bruce in the public light, with Mr. Earl backing him becasue of what wayne did to him. And while Batman/Bruce are under assault, the Joker kills Rachel Dawes sending Bruce into a downward spiral that has him questioning himself and pushes him closer than ever to becoming the very thing that ruined any chance he had for a normal life...a murderer. Oswald "The Penguin" Cobblepot finds it rather proffitable to provide arms to the warring mob factions while notletting the one side know that he is helping his enemy. And an old "friend" pays Batman a visit, to start off the movie.

That's some good guess work there my friend..............props for having a good idea.

that's my point. Just because you post on a messageboard doens't mean you dont spend time doing significant things, as you put it. You act as if it takes more than 2 minutes of the time I have in between classes to correct someones mistake, then post a slightly humorous comment. Then again, you're right, i should be out feeding the homeless in those 2 minutes instead.

and I could've been a lot meaner if I wanted to. Like i said, I corrected you, then made a somewhat funny joke. If I came off harsher than I meant to and offended you, I apologize. It wasn't meant to be a big deal. You really shouldnt' take what people say on the internet seriously.

Well, anyway I love the idea with The Penguin

I want Sal Maroni to scar Harvey like in The Long Halloween but I'm fine with Joker do it.

I think it will be much better, if Joker scars him, because it will have some connection with him and 2Face

And don't forget Joe Chill and Mr. Zsasz's short but memorable appearance.;)

You have a point there.

So will Maroni appear in sequel?

It's likely. It was reported that Maroni would be in the sequel, as Gotham's new mob boss, after Falcone. Bob Hoskins who was attached to Penguin for sometime, is also being considered for the role.

^nothing is set in stone... they might write the script and realize that something or someone else scarring him might be better for the story, heck, who even knows forsure that there will be a two face anyways

Harvey Dent will be in BB2 then in BB3 as Two-Face.

My ideal and personal favorite choice, would have to be Brian Cox. I could care less if he was in X-Men 2, or even schedueled to possibly reprise his role as William Stryker, in the new Wolverine film. In my opinion, aside from being a phenemonal actor, he would make a great candidate. Even if the chances of him being "in the mix" aren't very high.

To me, Hoskins is too "Penguin-esque" in terms of height and looks. Not only would I like to see him as Penguin, but I honestly wouldn't mind seeing him as Maroni. He could do justice to either character. As far as choices for the role of Maroni go, there are others who I see doing the same.

What does "not the penguin" mean even? He's pretty much always been The Penguin, it's a nickname he got because he looks like a penguin and has a thing for birds. You wanna show him only as a baby before he had a discernable penguin-like appearance? Or perhaps at the end of the movie Cobblepot can fall into a vat of penguins and come out with penguins superpowers.

Or he gets drunk one night, goes to the zoo for ****s and giggles, and ends up sleeping with one of the penguins lol

Do not let numbers fool you.

The grand total for "villains" or "rogues" for BB was HUGE. It put Batman and Robin to shame (in more ways than one but I"m going by rogues specifically). This proves with out a shadow of a doubt many villains can be done in a comic movie.

1. Ra's Al Ghul

2. Fake Ra's/Ubu role (?) - Arguably there's two of them. But one memorable one.

3. Joe Chill

4. Victor ZsasZ

5. Carmine Falcone

6. Scarecrow

Being technical ofcourse. Yet every one of them had some sort of relevance so I'd hardly call this a cameo. Minor role yes, but still relevant. I'm not implying this will be the case with BB2 by no means but it does show how high they can take it.

hmm i'd like to see the Riddler make an appearance. For some reason when i see that part in batman begins, where batman's running through arkham, one of the guys looking through the cells (with the black shaggy hair) reminds of the riddler.

Haha... this is one thing i hate, nearly every villian has to fall into something to become "bad". I think he should be just known as penguin because of his voice and looks, rather than him being one.

How about Gene Hackman for Rupert Thorne? Or will he be too old.

Brian Cox is Rupert Thorne. End of story.

For Thorne? Cox would be an excellent choice. Without a shadow of a doubt.
