Homecoming Who should be the Villain in Spider-Man (2017)? - Part 2

Scorpion & the Slayers are not a bad idea...I can see a way they could work; still however, they wouldn't be my 1st pick.

Well we could always just have cuts and Allied to lizard at a much later point. So we play more with Connors in the mcu. Maybe be an alley for spidey. But for me no reason he couldn't be seen again. Just like I am sure in time or by 3rd solo we bound to see ock, goblin, venom again. But we still have plently of good choices for villains for at least two films to play with.

And many I do still want to see before we got back and reuse some. I want mysterio, vulture, scorpion, kraven, chameleon, shocker at least 4 of these guys used before reusing past villain in costumed form.

As for if or when we see venom. It's really dependent first will they go cosmic route. They likely would as thru wsnt push for cosmic guys now. Or do silly ultimate route. Then it's also dependent if in infinity wars if spidey and they earth heroes go to space. If they are on earth then maybe better chance for iron spider suit used instead.

Slayers, scorpion, kraven I still feel alot better using them as sequel guys. So in first film you can build up for a bit the hate jjj has for spidey and spidey bad public image. Without it just getting shoehorned without proper context and build up.

Kraven need to be in a sequel. When people keep saying they want Kravens last hunt that story only work when Kraven and Spider-Man have history. Not as good if they only meet for first time because Kraven victory better when he failed to beat Spider-Man many times before.

again, we wont be meeting Kraven several times... and like all the MCU movies... it will borrow elements, not be a direct adaptation.

whose to say we wont see some guys a few times. I for one do not want them to off any villains this time. Send them to jail. So they could pop up again in a solo spidey film(ie set up nicely a sinister 6 story for 3rd film). Or for a character to appear in a team up film/other character solo film. Or maybe even show up on aos or netflix shows.

because even if we were lucky enough to get 9 films, we'd be lucky to have all his great villains appear and be fleshed out enough...

i mean seriously.. map it out..

(random list pay no attention to order of which villains appear)

1) Spider-Slayers/Scorpion/Chameleon (minor part)
2) Vulture, Kraven, Chameleon
3) Doc Ock
4) Green Goblin
5) Electro and Sandman
6) Sinister 6
7) Mysterio
8)Venom
9) Maximum carnage or some big finale event

how the hell would you put repeat villains in there? other than Sinister Six or small cameo roles?

I would say leave weaker, more grounded antagonists for the first movie, have Oscorp become a major antagonistic player in the second (with Green Goblin in there as the MAIN villain), and then use Venom and/or Carnage for the third.

This is all assuming that this becomes a trilogy, however.

Oscorp has never been a big "power player" in really anything other than Amazing Spider-Man and the cartoon "spectacular spider-man" so the company should be severely down played this time around

I just want to see a villain they havent tried yet. Start fresh. Maybe even save the OSCORP stuff for awhile.

Cool, Im glad its gonna be new. They should be building their own fresh MCU Spider Man world anyway.

Eh, far too unknown and a bit seems like more of a villain for adult Spidey than teen Apidey.

I like Mr. Negative. I doubt it'll be him. The only thing I can think of is a very street-level story with Hammerhead, Tombstone, etc., making it a full-fledged gang war.

Once again, I'll hold off on commenting on the viability of this idea until after season 2 of Daredevil.

Yeah Mr. Negative is cool. Its probably more likely to see him on netflix though if anything

i like mr. negative but i dont want to see him this early yet. As for oscorp i do want them around, make them a player like stark, hammer, roxxon is. maybe they became the military contracter after stark ended, and hammer went under. But i dont want oscorp to be the one making the villains.

Someone brought up Prowler before and I've been thinking it over and that could work pretty great, fitting well into a smaller scale story with coming-of-age themes in it. Plus he's an underrated character I can see becoming a fan favorite. No idea if they'd ever consider it but I like the idea alot

I'd also love to see Mr. Negative, but he's not very likely, unfortuantly.

You don't know if they not use Kraven more than once. That just your guess.

not so much as it is a guess.. as it is odds. Kraven isn't even that great of a villain that you need to do anything more with him than 1 film + Sin Six

i like prowler but again he is one of those semi obscue guys and it would make sense for marvel to start off with someone with a little more mpph and all but he would be cool. But i still would love a few others more. Seesh there seems to be to many folks around here thinking oh guys like kraven, scorpion, mysterio, vulture cant be a good character or be a headline they are all good characters. Its more on who plays the role and how its written that will make the guys good or bad takes on said guy. And i personally would like to see them do 2 guys for first and second film. One is the main villain one is a minor threat like an opening scene villain might face again a second time in the film. Then by the end of the second film you have 4 guys sent to jail. Then you have a great easy set up for 3rd film to be a sinister 6 film. Which 5th member breaking out the other 4 members on behalf of the 6th member. Who be the leader and likely been planning things for awhile from the shadows. Ie we could have it be ock but play on his master planner identity to we reveal its ock and so forth.
