Homecoming Who should be the Villain in Spider-Man (2017)? - Part 4

Something like that would be fantastic!
How 'bout, Spectacular Shocker!

Eh, that suit is too oversimplified to be in live action. Besides, the original Shocker suit from the comics was really well done, and I wasn't a big fan of any of the changes Spectacular made to it.

I mean, even that "updated" version I posted has some elements that (to me) aren't quite as good as the classic suit.

This one makes sense. Giving usually Shocker acts like a thief, henchmen. I dont think he cares much about developing and sewing a suit. Just a ski mask, and regular clothes and bulletproof vest underneath looking similar to his classic design (in his palette of colors) with his gauntles

I'm really digging this design.

I wouldn't use him in the first film, probably not even in the sequel, but Morbius would make a pretty cool villian. Using Morbius in a Spider-Man film would also be great way to introduce Blade to the MCU. It could be awesome if done right.

Personally, I've always thought his costume was easy to explain as specially designed padding to protect him from his gauntlets. He could care less about how tacky it looks, it's just practical. And that says so much about him.

I don't want Shocker just wearing a jacket and cargo pants and a ski mask. That's boring. That's something we'd find on Agents of SHIELD. I prefer the classic quilted look of his costume.

No vampires. Make it feel like horror movie. Too many vampire movies and TV shows already lol.

Seeing Morbius one day would be amazing. Especially if Blade was in it as well. But not for the first film. Let's be honest. Most likely are

Kraven, Vulture and Mysterio.
Shocker, Scorpion following up as well.
If any villain from past is chosen it'll be Doc Ock as he's been on break filmwise for a while.

Agreed. He also best villain so far too.

I haven't read comics enough to know what Octavious is like originally, but I'd love to see something like TSSM:s Doc Ock. Personality-wise that is, I trust that they can do a better visual design

Yeah and people were already trying to compare the Amazing Spider-man films to Twilight. Seeing as how Peter will be a teen again for the reboot, I can see people again trying to make comparisons. And having Morbius would even give them more reasons to do so.

And like you said, there are already so many vampire movies and TV shows. I think Morbius should be one of the last villains even considered. Especially when more unique ones can be done.

Take inspiration from Spectacular Spider-Man and have Spider-Man take on Tombstone's organization.
They could use guys like Shocker and Scorpion as Tombstone's henchmen, since it's not like they'll ever have any chance of working as a movie's main villains anyway.

Alternatively, they could always try with the Symbiote saga again. Especially since aliens are actually established to be a real thing in this universe, unlike in S-MIII.
I really wouldn't mind seeing Venom (and eventually Carnage) on the big screen again... and done properly, this time. I mean, I know we're talking about Marvel "forgettable baddie of the week" Studios here, but still.

TSSM Doc Ock is perfect personality wise. So perfect. Agreed they could do better design for him that that, but I love design in cartoon. It inspired by design from Spider-Man 2 Doc Ock.

Just make him very cold and calculating. He's a scientist at heart, but in reality his methods cause more damage than good.

I second this. Loved SSM Ock.

I wasn't a fan of his "weak" stage, where he was all mousy and stuff. His character was perfect after he became Doc Ock, though.

Hydra, since they want revenge on Spider-Man for the events in Captain America: Civil War

Hydra lackey will be Molten Man, powered by Centipede/Extremis

To me the "before tentacle fuse" Octavious made the incarnation. That in tandem with the later deliciously evil & calculative Ock gives it a nice dramatic oomph

Plus they showed his dark inner homicidal tendencies, like when he imagined himself killing Norman by impaling him with his tentacles.

Though I felt his visual design before and after was just right. Inspiration from SM2 noted.

Absolutely. Couple those with Peter MacNicol's excellent performance = win.
