Agent Venom is a must, but I'm not sure how I'd feel about them skipping Brock. I feel Venom deserves a proper villianous depiction before they go with the spinoff route. I just hope Sony doesn't screw it all up.

I'd only be onboard with Agent Venom if it was established that Brock had been Venom previously and an antagonist (and maybe then ally) of Spider-man. That way they could still visit the original Venom arc.

Brock or no Venom at all please. What's interesting about him as Venom is the fact that he plays the boogeyman to Spidey. I think Venom could be a comfy horror movie. I've just never gotten invested in Flash's story, and that's the only reason I don't care for him. I'm sure he could be cool, but let's face facts people want Brock in the movies.

Who would be the Big Bad of Venom film then? Crime Master, with Jack O' Lantern as his Hench man?

Here's the big issue in my opinion, Brock is a decent antagonist, but a horrible protagonist, Flash is a better protagonist then Brock is and if they make a movie about Venom, you need the best protagonist possible.

Absolutely. I wouldn't want to see anyone done as a main villain other than Vulture, Kraven, or Mysterio, because they're arguably the next three biggest Spidey villains that we haven't seen on screen yet. Same goes for any thug/B villains. Which they haven't even done yet on screen except for Rhino.

Anyone else have a feeling that the villains might not be particularly great or memorable, given Marvel's weakness in that area? Other than Loki and to a much lesser extent Ultron, there have not really been any villains that I enjoyed or found to be memorable. I have faith that they will do a good job with Spiderman though.

its honestly all in the actor and what they're given...

I think some villains will be memorable and some wont be.

just like the past spidey movies... i'd say Osborn and Ock have truly been the only memorable villains he's had on film

No Sandman imo! I wouldn't wanna see any villain we've seen previously because comparisons are inevitable once that happens. Usually degrades the movie. All new villains please. Same goes for Venom.

Feige confirmed they're looking at villains they haven't used before so you're good I'd put money on it being Vulture or Mysterio.
