Homecoming Who should be the Villain in Spider-Man (2017)? - Part 4

Ugh hope they don't use the Lizard ever again

I'd love to see the Lizard! But as ac actual Lizard, not a goomba that wants to turn NYC into Lizards. No Saturday morning cartoon crap, I want him to just want to eat everyone! Don't make him talk!

I don't want that. That's just some random monster movie then. Spider-Man might as well fight a big gorilla or bear, or an alligator in that case.

I want Connors have true Jekyll and Hyde relationship with Lizard personality. And Connors is unaware of it, but has hallucinations of incidents how time passes. And Connors must be really good man, respected and loved with his family making appearence. Having moments with his son and wife. And ofcourse Peter as his actual student, not just first time meeting Connors. ASM really rejected that part of his story. We never actually "liked Connors" so we would care for him.

Lizar trully must be animal, terrifying and look more like Mcfarlane's Lizard instead of Ditko's Lizard. There are ways for Lizard to be done right. And his movie really must be on border between PG13 and R-rating. He truly needs to look scary as something will eat you. Could we get this movie? Sure. Will it happen. Nope. Marvel isnt doing scary villains. They basically made Ultron a big pus+*. And he was terrifying villain in comics, animated series. I really dont believe Marvel can pull something like that. And neither studios would let this story be made. Why. Cause of kids. Kids love spidey. But if you show really true scaring Lizard your box office even though movie would probably be great, would suffer. Cause parents wouldnt want take their kids on which is basically horror movie

^ parents took their kids to see Deadpool though..

We're never getting an R rated Spider-Man. Ever. Even his books that featured pretty gruesome stuff were at best hard PG-13.

Film 1- Scorpion, Vulture, or Mysterio

Film 2- Kraven and either Lizard or Chameleon

Film 3- Doc Ock OR Green Goblin

Solid!

for me with how the spidey suit turned out. I def cant wait to see what marvel can pull off with the spidey rouges suits/tech. I am sure we will see a mix of costumed guys like spidey to tech based guys. Look at all the tech and gizmos the mcu already has in the films and in the shows. There is alot they can do with tech and what not based guys. Then maybe a few mutated guys like jackal/lizard/etc.... guys like that. Suits and tech for the others all the way. I said it before many times if/when we get goblin in the mcu i really want to see a more comics acccruate look with a costume/tech then what we had in the past films and i dont want no usm hulk mutation rip off.

As for the first solo film i still personally want to see mysterio or vulture as the main villain. I still feel they would be good starting off villains. Plus both are different and unique types of foes we havent seen in the films so far. So they got alot to play with there. Then like i said before i would either want to see a opening scene/montage type scenes tossing in a few c/d list guys spidey wipes out real quick to add more foes and build the world out and all that. Or toss in a guy like shocker/etc.... type as a secondary foe maybe working with or for who ever the main villain is.

Still for me foes like kraven, scorpion i feel are much better sequel villains. After we play more with building up spidey and how the public views him and the whole spidey and jjj stuff we can play with in a sequel and what not.

^ Yeah. I like Vulture for the solo film and then Scorpion for the sequel and either Doc Ock or Mysterio for the third film. But, we'll see.

And I do like many folks like the idea I brought up ages ago having toomes been a part of or inventor of the tech that became falcon wings. And be a solid nice tie to greater mcu. And we could easily tie in a nice appearance of him. Or what not and we got a easy simple plot if toomes out for revenge and spodey trying to stop him and so forth.

I def do not want every dam villain tied to peter. Besides osborns, connors and miles warren. Those are the only ones who should have any ties to peter. It should be like comics spidey just lucks into x guy doing what ever. And then spidey is just a thorn in x guy side and over time they build up grudge and hate him.

Which then also ties into my next point don't off every baddie this go around. I want to see them get locked up. And like I said if we do 2 foes per film 1 and 2. We have 4 guys set up right there. Have a 5th guy been in shadows the whole time. And 3rd film nice set up for sinister 6 and 6th member breaking the other 4 out for 5th member the leader.

I hope they don't do Kraven first would rather have him for the next one Vulture would be nice for the first one. I like the idea of him facing off against a bad guy like Kingpin first off with him having guys like Shocker as thugs.

To be honest, I think the only villain I'd like redone is Doc Ock. I support Norman Osborn as a bad guy, but I've had enough of Goblin, Green, Hob, or otherwise. I love the Green Goblin and all, but he doesn't need to come back. We've seen the Goblin 3 times, and we don't need another Joker situation where every piece of Batman media is about the Joker and no one else. Yeah, he's his arch enemy, fine, but that doesn't mean we need him in everything, and Spidey has so many other great villains that it'd be a shame to use the Goblin again. Besides, arch enemies don't mean much when cinematic supervillains disappear after one movie. And no, I don't want multiple movies of Green Goblin either.

Doc Ock is pretty much just as iconic of a Spidey villain as Goblin, and plenty have argued he's Spidey's real arch enemy over GG. And it's been 12 years since Spider-Man 2, so he's definitely due for another cinematic makeover. And that's only if they decide they gotta reuse a villain, which I honestly don't think they need to do.

Agreed with this.

I think it'd be interesting to see them play Norman Osborn being a villain without having to be Green Goblin for awhile, would love to see Doc Ock again, maybe go the Ultimate route and have Octavious be a scientist at Oscorp.

I'd be for it.

I want Vulture or Chameleon for the first film, Kraven and either Scorpion or Lizard for the second film, and Doc Ock to wrap-up a trilogy.

What are your picks for a trilogy?

  1. The Enforcers leaded by Montana who becomes Shocker, or either Mysterio or the Spot. Small cameo at the end by Otto Octavius
  2. Scorpion and Kraven.
  3. Master Planner storyline

OR

  1. Second movie being with Vulture and small cameo at the end of Kraven
  2. Third movie, The Last Hunt storyline working as Spidey's Knightfall, Kraven taking him out and Peter having to rise from being Buried Alive to stop Kraven impresionating Spider-Man

I don't want that. That's just some random monster movie then. Spider-Man might as well fight a big gorilla or bear, or an alligator in that case.

I'll take it any day over the Lizard we got in TASM. It was brutal, the lines were hammy as hell too. I'd rather he be a side villain and Peter's main focus is just to transform him back and not get killed while also protecting civilians.

Spidey fighting a bear? Now hold on, you may just have something there. It worked for Leo.

It would be just like Hulk fighting a bear or gorilla:

That's all that was available on 1970s budgets. I guess money is tight for Spidey. :o

I don't think Lizard should be the focus of a film again. But tie him with Kravin and you've got something. And I know he got eaten by the Lizard last time around, but Irfan Kahn would make a great Dr. Conners.

I want Doc Ock again! :cmad: :csad: No, but seriously, I hope they close out the trilogy with one of Spidey's iconic big bads; Ock will have not been seen for almost 20 years by the time we get to the third film.
