Cthulhu.
I don't think a strategy of contrived differentiation from various Marvel movies is a good idea.
Just because marvel is using thanos doesnt mean dc cant use darkseid. They're different characters with different personas and motivations.
Visually and thematically, they're pretty similar, the big bad ultimate evil type of guy, sitting on his throne all smug. Even with a two parter, there's only so much you can develop the villains away from each other. And visuals and themes are huge parts of movies. People would be drawing comparisons constantly, and obviously that's not how DC wants to have their fresh cinematic universe perceived.Just because marvel is using thanos doesnt mean dc cant use darkseid. Do you happen to mean Darkseid, instead of doomsday?

Demons Three:

The long sleeping most ancient three have been awakened. It's Blaze vs Neron with Wotan as their revivor and the JL caught in the middle of the mess. The Three regain power as things go along and both Demon Lords need to get them under their power BEFORE they grow too powerful!
You forgot Trigon
Marvel shoots for a lighter tone with their villains. If DC makes Darkseid very grim and terrifying, that alone will set him apart enough from Thanos
I wonder if they even would use Darkseid now. Like Thanos is an unabashed rip off of Darkseid, but Marvel still established him in the movies first, it's not gonna matter to a lot of people who really came first and who's really a ripoff of whom
Namor came first but Aq does it better
